Well, I did!   :flirt: It was like last year in July! It was from David X. Cohen!   :) I got his e-mail address after listening to the DVD commentary for Ep 319 'Roswell That Ends Well'. He was so nice!    :) I basically told him that I enjoyed Ep 410 'The Why of Fry', he said he was glad - "since I wrote that one!" He said he thought we british have better taste too!    :flirt:

Make cure there's flour in the envelope.  They'll mistake it for anthrax and cause a nationwise security alert that results in a three year old kid getting executed because he has a Muslim name.

The americans may have made Futurama, but the British made Blackadder, and I'll take my hat off any day of the week for the british because of it. (I'm not too happy about Father Ted tough)

And baby, I intend to double-post:

Why not real anthrax?

Yesterday upon the stairs, I saw a man who wasn't there.
He wasn't there again today. I think he's from the CIA.

I emailed him in the beginning of December, right after I found out about Futurama (late start, I know) and its demise. Unfortunately for me, he never emailed me back, but I figure my questions were not the kind he would be at liberty to discuss (movie, etc). As I think about it though, screw it! I don't need him to validate my existence. *cries* [Zoidberg] Awww... [/Zoidberg]

Sadly, Mr. Cohen does not have the power to bring back Futurama.  If he did, it would never have been cancelled in the first place.

Spamming the poor guy's mailbox won't help matters either.

Because they didn't care.

Fox isn't interested in what people want, they're only interested in money.  Futurama wasn't making enough money for Fox, so they decided that it had to go.

Oh yay! All hail Lord Cohen, almighty god of Albion!

Anyway, who was that who was mentioned on the 'That's Lobsertainment' commentary? The one who kept slagging off the episode on this (I assume) message board, and then got an e-mail from the writer (I'm thinking, Patric Verrone?)

I think it was one of the posters on the Alt.Tv.Futurama newsgroup.

And in the mean time Verrone should be happy to know that "That's Lobstertainment" isn't ranked last on the CGEF review section anymore, "A Leela Of Her Own" is. Then again Veroone wrote that one too, so I guess he isn't exactly thrilled. What's with all the Verrone bashing among Futurama fans? Or just ALOHO bashing?

I think Verrone just had a bad season in Season 3. I know you like ALOHO but I always found that and That's Lobstertainment! to be two of the blandest, unfuturistic stories in the series. But it's definitely nothing against Verrone as a whole, since all his other episodes rock.

Well, one thing that a lot of people complain about is that Blernsball was just baseball on a string, instead of the inspired silliness that it had been in earlier episodes.

Personally, I think that having the Hank Aaron as a guest star makes up for any shortcomings that the episode had, but that's just me.

Yeah, see, I'm not that familiar to Hank Arron so I have to judge him on his actual performance in the episode, which was a bit patchy. Some of his lines I enjoyed, others I felt flopped. Bob Uecker I enjoyed, however.

Considering that Hank Aaron isn't a professional actor, I think that he did a pretty good job.

I'm impressed just by the fact that they had him on the show.  The only guest star that I liked more was Gary Gygax.

Oh, and I agree that Bob Uecker was funny.   :)

If David X. Cohen's email is davidxcohen@aol.com, then what kinds of things do you people say to him?  What should I say to Mr. Cohen?  I'm not used to talking celebrities.

Here's my suggestion on the matter: Don't email him. Not just you in particular, but anybody. He's only human, and you guys don't know him in person. I'm sure he loves hearing from his fans, but you know eventually it's going to bother him if you keep spamming his email address with crap.

If I gave out my email on a commentary, I would have made sure it was bleeped out before being released.

I certainly wouldn't spam DXC.  I'm not one of those fans who'd email him every single day.  I'm one of those unlucky fans with a life and that gets in the way of spending time on the computer.  I'd just merely say hello and to thank him on such a genius and well written show.

Wow. That's really him? I assumed davidxcohen@aol.com was just him goofing around on the commentary. Especially since AOL tends to be seen as a joke among nerds, which he most definitely is (I say that with the utmost respect). You sure it's not just some loser posing as DXC?
