I'm no sissy, but what do you think is the single most romantic moment in Futurama?

In my own opinion I think it's the final shot of the final show...How romantic.

I'd have to say the ending to the Why of Fry.  It was short, sweet and left you with a good feeling.

Either the "oxygen" scene from Love and Rocket, or the ending of The Sting. I can't pick between those two.

Man, there were a lot of these.  I'm going to go with Fry and Leela under the mistletoe, right before Santa attacks with the TOW missle.

Definately the L & R scene from when Fry gives his oxygen all the way to he very end- that's a beautiful scene at the end. Although every romantic moment (at least for Fry and Leela) is a joy for me.   :)

I agree. There have been heaps of romantic moments in Futurama, but that's the one that stays with me the most.

Fry basicly giving his chance to become Famous and get any woman he wanted for Leela at the end of The Devil's Hands Are Idol Playthings.

End of Devil's Hands. The most uplifting, beautiful melody I've ever heard. If someone played something like that for me, I would consider it pretty darn romantic.

Ah, yes. The most romantic moment...

The oxygen scene from Love and Rocket, or the part already quoted by LHE from The Sting. Both are suspenseful, sad, yet they pull through at the end. Superbly well written.

Okay, I'll make a choice. The Sting scene. Especially the transition from the picture frame talking to Fry himself talking, it just beats L&R by a little bit.

As for Devil's Hands... don't get me started, that episode was out of whack from the beginning. I can almost tell that in the space between the end of the recital, and the part where Fry and Bender are sitting at the table in the PE building, Fry snuck down to the Professor's lab and asked the What-If machine this question: "What if I could play the holophoner again?" That episode was just... not right.

Yeah, but realisticly you can say that about any episode. "What if..." is the very essence of premise.  "Why must I be a Crustacian in love" is "What if Zoidberg got horny?"  "Cyber house rules" is simply "What if Leela had 2 eyes?"  "Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles" is only..."What the hell?"

Anyway, I don't think it's proper to knock the episode because it has a premise.  Personally I'm glad they took a minor, but incredible element of "parasites lost" and expanded it.  Holophoners are cool.

What? That was a sad ending! lol.

Anyway, I think the first time Leela put her hand on Fry's in "Space Pilot 3000" was one of the only times that I believed it was a possibility for them to be together..

I was just thinking about the whole, L & R scene today in school, reciting Zoidberg's lines while thinking of the scenes in my head. Call me pathetic, call me what you will- I literally shedded a tear. It's a very beautiful scene at the very end! I can't say this enough!   :)

Theres just so many touching moments. But I think my favourite is the moment at the end, and throughout The Sting, That was such a beautiful episode. It filled me with a lot of emotion and brought a tear to my eye when watching it    :)

Here's a list of the episodes with the most romantic moments in my opinion:

1.The Holophoner Sequence in "Parisites Lost."  Now that was Super Romance. Although I had a tough time choosing between Sting and Parisites Lost because I think the moment was somewhat tainted by the facts that worms are doing this.  If you don't pay attention to that, though, you can definately see that this is the most romantic moment in Futurama ever.

2. Throughout "The Sting."  It was romantic how Leela felt about Fry the whole episode.

3.  The "You leave me breathless" scene and the chalk heart dump.  I just realized how romantic this was at the last second.

4.  When the babies swim away and the simulation chamber moments in "Kiff Gets Knocked Up a Notch."  That dedication to the babies is instant romance.

5. The end of "Devil's Hands."  The episode ending was romantic, but it was more touching than romantic in my eyes.  But it's still romantic.

Either the "Sonata For A Cyclops" (although the ending holphoner plays in PL and TDAIP are cute too) in "Parasites Lost" or this scene:

It's just that little motion of Fry placing his hand on Leela's and she just smiles at him, that made me go "aawwwwww..." A bit remiscent of a similar scene in SP3K.

Now when you say Fry's childness, I'm assuming you're referring to the "You could really use a shower."  "You too." lines, in which case it would be Leela's childness since she spoke first.

Okays...most romantic moments...in order...

1)The Sting.Just seeing how romantic Fry was in her dreams and how she felt about him all along. And the seeing how devouted he was to just sit by her for 2 weeks when everyone else told him there was no hope of her waking up.

2)The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings. The way Fry gives up fame and fortune just to save Leela. And the end of the opera(though crude and poorly drawn)was very sweet.

3)Parasites Lost.The holophoner solo was beautiful.'nough said.

4)(And last but deffinatly not least)Love and Rokets.Fry giving all his oxygen to Leela so that she can live was romatic beyond belief.(putting someone's life before your own is the #1 way to get their love.I know I'd fall head over heels)

First of all, it wasn't poorly drawn, it was intended to be cute and schweet.  ;)

Second of all, wouldn't that technically be "least" since it's last on your list.  ;)

And that isn't childish, that's friendship.  There is just affection in their voices, and after twoweeks, they probably both need it.
