Actually, The Simpsons has been getting better over seasons 13 and 14.  The real stinkers were S10-12, which dragged the show down...with these recent two seasons, however, they're trying to recover to their former glory.  Maybe by S15, it'll be as good as S8.

I don't know... with the exception of "Dude, Where's My Ranch?" I found this season pertty mediocre.  (NOTE: Not awful, just mediocre.  Still better then any given episode of Friends, or Will & Grace, or any other sitcom NBC's trying to force-feed me.)

Hm...the weird thing is that Dude, Where's My Ranch is often considered one of the weaker episodes of the season (I thought it was okay, personally, but many hate it).  The good ones this season were Moe Baby Blues, I'm Spelling as Fast as I Can, and Special Edna.  I think S13 is a little bit better though.

I actually like every season up until 14. Seasons 10-12 contain some of my all time favourites. 13 was good too. But 14 has just lost it. The episodes just feel unfocused and stretched. Although, I did like the spelling episode, and Barting Over (the 300th ep) but I don't think that we've seen Moe Baby Blues or Dude, where's my ranch in the UK on Sky One yet. What are they about?
Wait what's this thread about? Oh yeah, I think that all the Futurama references have been mentioned.

Moe Baby Blues is a very popular episode over on the NoHomers forum...it's the season finale, about Moe finding happiness in taking care of Maggie.  Very good episode, you should watch it when it comes on.

Back on topic, I'm pretty sure there aren't any Futurama refs left...too bad, too.  It's not a very well-known show, thanks (...) to Fox's cruddy advertising.

Moe Baby Blues freaked me the hell out.  All my friends think I'm Moe, and I have to admit, I really identified with his reaction to being in a crowd, and I do have a hypodermic full of bleach, but the episode went south fast from there.  Moe drifted way out of character, and the whole concept was ethically dubious and generally disturbing.

Oh, yeah, Futurama... um... I'll shut up now.

Even though it isn't that popular, I never knew that Futurama had some uh, weird references.

There is also a Futurama reference in Treehouse of Horror IX(?)-the one where Homer gets a demonic hair transplant.  It was repeated on BBC2 this evening, and in amongst the usual changed names in the credits (ie Veins Hell Brooks, Rats Groening etc.) is David "Watch Futurama" Cohen.  Sadly still didn't encourage enough people to watch it, but full marks for effort.

well I guess Fox just prefers sleaze TV over quality. it's all about the money/popularity for them... you'd think Fox was run by high school preps.

At one point in the computer game The Longest Journey, a character says "Ah, to be young again -- and a robot."

Amen to that, brother!
For all we know it could be!

And as for the Simpsons sucking for the past 2-3 seasons...I whole heartedly agree.
It jumped the shark about 100 episodes ago.

Have the Simpsons with the Sci-Fi convention (with Mark Hamill as guest star) on tape, but never noticed a Futurama t-shirt in it. Will look for that later. And I missed Bender in Bart's class.  :(
Only saw Bender answering the PBS phones in Simpsons ep where Homer tries to bail on his $10,000 pledge.
I also have a German edition of MAD with Bender and Leela on cover (as someone mentioned a comic).

I remember two references or similarities in Simpsons which has something to do with Futurama.
In 'Mayored to the Mob' at the sci-fi convention, the fat german boy Uter wears a futurama shirt.
This one isn't really a reference, but there is a similarity between 'Love and Rocket' and the Treehouse of horror episode with Pierce Brosnan, as both episodes have moments ripped off from 'Smart House'. An interesting thing is that Katey Sagal (Voice of Leela) played the insane evil house in that movie.

I believe both the THOH episode and LOR pre-date "Smart House". And I believe all three are ripoffs of something else.

I'm not sure it this counts but remember that episode where Bart and Lisa wrote an Icthy and Scratchy cartoon and wrote Grandpa's name as the the writer.  At the award seen a cartoon writer says,  "I going to do that show about the sassy robot."  Could this have been a prediction for Bender?

Also, I just saw I Doh-bot where Homer poses as a fighting robot.  At the scene where him and Bart are video studing Prof Frink's robot, there is a video tape that says, Prof. Frink's robot fought with Bender.

Well the part of Brannigan was originally intended for Phil Hartman, voice of Troy McLure and Lionel Hutz.

Haven't seen LOR yet, but the THOH with Brosnan as the evil house is a parody of Demon Seed.  I'll have to check imdb to be sure.

Good question. About that I am as smart as you are, too. I've found that site mentioned by Impy, but nothing like a reference mentioned there.
For anyone interested in searching: "Unfaithful" IMDB-site.

Does anyone else have a screenie of Fry on the Milk Carton? (or any other Futurama references on The Simpsons?) I can't see the original one on the first page because it's broken or something...

I just watched the latest episode of Family Guy called "The splendid Source" and Bender had a cameo! LOL
My husband and I have been trying to figure out what episode/movie the clip was from.

What do you guys think of this? Could this Crossover have started when Seth Macfarlane sang the theme for ITWGY?

Bender has been on Family Guy before, in the background of one of the star wars specials.

I'm not sure what you mean by "what episode/movie the clip was from"
Do you mean they showed a clip from Futurama or used some audio?

-

I found the episode and skipped though it as I couldn't be arsed watching the whole thing and all I saw was a photo of bender pinned to a wall in the background of the whiteboard scene.

Yes, I know Bender was in the background of the Star Wars special, but this is different.
Basically, in the episode they're asking these different people where they heard this dirty joke from and someone says they heard the joke from Bender on Futurama! Then they show a clip of Bender on the Planet Express ship waving his arms in the air while talking to the Family Guy Characters. They obviously used the scene from Futurama and pasted the FG characters on.

It was just surprising and very funny to see...

It was about 6 minutes in. There was no dialouge or audio from Futurama, just the clip during Peter's Voice Over.

I watched it again and now I kinda think it may not have been a real clip from Futurama (because the animation was poor lol) perhaps they made it themselves.
The episode should be on Family Guy's website within a couple days.

Alright I saw it and that was something they animated themselves.
I'll get the clip up for download in a few minutes.

Random as all hell, really. I guess I'd have to see the full episode to even begin to understand why they did that. Not likely to happen.

Considering the way Family Guy usually is watching the episode wouldn't help you with context too much.
