This episode was a lot better than I thought it would be. When I first read the description it thought it sounds okay. But it turned out great. I was in Washington visiting a friend and watching it with her (after a 2 and a half hour drive that should normally take 1 hour, closed Peace Arch & Hands Across the border makes for super long waits at the other borders), anyway I think this episode made up for the comedy that The Sting was missing, because I was laughing out loud the whole time, and so was my friend. I left her house right after it finished and an hour later (that's better) I got home and watched it again. I still think the episode is great, and I'm hopeing we can get three great episodes in a row (but not completly counting on it.) ------------------

This episode was really great. The whole alternate universe thing was interesting, and I knew that there was more than just the "accusing everyone of being evil" part. Then I thought "WTF happened to Hermes?" before they showed him taking the box into the ship. Which takes me to some good lines like "I hurt my collator!" and "God rest her zombie bones!" I knew that one of the boxes was gonna be in for it, but I thought it would be the blue one that the Zoidbergs were messing with. The doubles were cool just to watch. I liked the golden Bender, and seeing both Amys arguing about stuff. And the episode related to me in more ways than one. Not just because of the great jokes, but the fact that the coin flips alone are what distinguished one universe from another really got me. I know a friend that, whenever a bunch of us are stumped on making a choice, he always has a quarter handy so he can choose based on how it lands. He does this for everything from whose car we'll ride to "Chinese? or pizza?" and even which song we will play on Dance Dance Revolution last. Now I'll be thinking how life will be if his coin landed differently. Probably not much will change, since these were only things that affected my day.

I saw The Sting last week, but this week, we had a thunderstorm around my home, which blew out a transformer. Short line, I didn't see anything on tv at all last night. Bleah. Oh well, I'm hoping to see next weeks episode. I can't belive that there's only a few left, but at least we got 72 eps, that's better than a lot of tv shows that were really good, but didn't find the numbers that the networks were looking for. Just finished watching it for a second time. I enjoyed the episode. I didn't think it was quite as good as The Sting last week, but that's a tough one to follow IMO.There were lots of good Professor lines. I like it when he gets worked up and angry and there was plenty of it here. I like when he said (not sure of the exact quote) "Perfectly symmetrical violence never solved anything". The interaction between the two Zoidbergs in the dumpster was really good. Good episode!

Really funny. I liked the joke when Hermes is about to hurl the box into the sun when everyone from Universe A and Universe One flies out of the box and Farnsworth "A" says, "Let us out of here!"
Hermes has to think for a moment and finally says, "Okay." HAHAH!

This WAS a pretty funny episode, particularly the use of the wire gag that seemed to refer back to SP3000 and the 'various lengths of wire'.Perhaps this belongs in the 'Weird Scenes', but, was I mistaken in seeing two different dates on the coin that Leela flipped?

this was a pretty good ep, but....i didn't think it was one of the best, by far. the fry/leela scenes DID feel forced, as did a lot of the episode. it seemed like they felt that they had to squeeze everyone in with their double, which meant each pair got a short amount of time, when they could've focused more on a couple pairs in particular, maybe the fry/leela doubles.

I love how the writers made it so intentionally paradoxical and illogical as a joke. Pulling the boxes through each other was the best. I know a physics major that watched it and he thought it was "just wrong".

Actually, watching episodes online is what got me watching Futurama on TV again. I had watched most of Season 1, then found a lot of episodes on my network, which really reminded me of what I had been missing, so I started watching Season 4 on TV.

As long as you go out and buy the DVDs, fine by me Anyway, just got round to watching it - I liked it, certainly above average, some good lines...pretty much whats already been said. "Satan, you owe me one" cracked me up completely...

Solar system B (or 1) is a little off. Saturn B's orbit is interior to Jupiter B's.As for the ep: it was good, not great. I will not destroy the planet, but neither will I give the formula for immortality. Hermes contemplating firing everybody into the sun...A, was funny, as was Leela knocking out Eveela with the same move. Too much wasted opportunity with Zoidbergs. Also, we should have seen Leonard Nimoy's head with a goatee in one of the universes. (Or van dyke, or what-the-hell-ever.) And really, there can only be one universe by definition, so anything we imagine, discover, or create is actually an aspect of the same universe. Not an issue specific to this episode. Or this series. But I digress.

NNNOOOOO! NOT AGAIN!!! I had absolutely no clue a new ep was on last sunday! Noone ever told me...I wasn't online much! I cannot believe I missed this AND the Why of Fry! I can't download episodes (it'd take my comp days, and the connection would die many times) and fox is never going to rerun them! CN might never get them or it'll be years!

Actually, I can probably count the number of futurama episodes I've watched on television on the fingers of one hand. It's what initially got me started on it, but after that I realised quickly that New Zealand TV schedules really suck. I checked again recently, and it's not even showing at the moment.  But I own the season 1 and 2 DVDs, and season 3 is on the way from amazon UK, so I feel redeemed.

Sarge: Email me or message me on AIM and I'll help you out. I thought "The Farnsworth Parabox" was a great episode and it had some funny moments. When Hermes was choosing whether to save the crew or not was just hilarious!

Occam's razor. Yes, we *could* have followed a looping trajectory that went in past Jupiter, then back out past Saturn, then into Earth. Why? Jupiter does have rings. Saturn's are far more prominent. Maybe Jupiter is the pretty ringed world in solar system B, and maybe Saturn has the great storm. Again, why? I would be interested to know what the writers and artists have to say about the issue, even if it is simply that no one noticed. Anyone? Anyone whose name starts with an "S"? Anyone at all?

Awesome ep, I loved it. The storyline was so cool, and I love it when Futurama makes use of it's sci-fi potential. I've gotta admit I was kinda disappointed that it didn't really involve much stuff happening in space. From the descriptions, for some reason I thought we'd get loads of neat Godfella's type space scenes. But appart from that I loved it. The beginning was class, and seeing everyones doubles and interaction was awesome. I also loved it when they all went into different boxes to search different universes, neat idea. One of my favourite scenes is when Bender and Gold Bender hug, and take eachother wallets behind their backs, classic. And I also loved the whole coin flipping thing. Oh, and the colours of the sky in the parellel universe were extremely cool  Definately one of my fave Futurama's, but not one of my very faves [This message has been edited by Otis P Jivefunk (edited 06-13-2003).]

I've just watched it now and I did think it was an AWESOME episode. Very funny, but for some reason, not quite as good as I thought it might be. For some reason it seemed ever so slightly weak. No much, but a little. I think its because it didn't have any other stoylines in there. The whole story was them trying to get back into Universe A before they were destroyed by Hermes.Still, it was a really cool episode and I liked it a lot. Some of the moments that made me laugh were when they went into that hippie universe and there was the Professor and Amy there, that was funny. Also when Fry sat on the box at the end and their universe stretched, that was cool. And the beginning scene was just class, I loved how they were all just ignoring the shakes, tremors and screams that were going on around them Overall though, I'd say it was a really cool, funny episode. I'd give it 6/10

Very, very good episode. Only problem was (as other people have pointed out), there was more than enough material to fill a 22 minute slot. If Futurama had ever been able to do a 2-parter, this plot would have fit very nicely into that role.
