This was kind of a meh episode in my opinion. It just didn't seem to click, seeming forced through most of it. I suppose it's extra hard being a 'series-plotline-filler-inner' as well as coming the week after such a brilliantly funny episode such as TMLH, but still, it was a real disappointment, given I was really looking forward to this ep.

Sorry, Dave. Don't hurt me..

I really loved this episode. It's my favorite so far. I love the Nibblonians. And the kiss at the end was the prefect touch. My avatar shows my appreciation.

Almost like "The Route Of All Evil":

Dwight: "I heard alcohol makes you stupid."
fry: "No, I'm ....doesn't."

Just fry having problems with his attention span and articulation.

As I recall, the episode with the "I already did!" line ("The Cyber House Rules" ) aired the week after "The Day The Earth Stood Stupid". I thought it was a reference, as they were discussing their flaws and Fry had just told everyone about the brains, but nobody believed him.

Yo. I finally got to see this episode and it rocked a lot. It wasn't the best ep. ever though and I found the 2nd act to drag a bit and be too exposition-y and nibbler-y (i dont really find them very entertaining)

Well Nibbler in 1999 wouldn't have known that Leela would of known the truth about him... now would he? Nibbler told Fry that he was stationed on vegon 6 (right?) and that he would move to earth to help fry out if he would agree to get frozen. . . so up till right then, Nibbler didn't know that he would be going to earth at all. .. so he couldnt of planned to go to Earth with Leela, now could he?

that said, I do agree that Leela has some signifigance. Perhaps this figures into her being a mutant in the human world and why she was allowed to stay on the surface (wouldnt they of done some blood tests, etc?)

Remember, Nibbler '99 does not know that the Brainspawn *will* attack Earth in 3000 or so. Therefore, he doesn't know what will happen. He won't know that he'll have to reveal the truth to Leela when the Brainspawn *do* attack. She's the only other that will know.

well do you think that Leela would want fry to have a pay a huge fine for walking HER pet? I mean, she's no jerk. I don't think that chaz helping fry out is really that corrupt. Maybe that's because i'm an evil american though.

Fry: "Who killed the dinosaurs?"
Brain: "ME!!!"

hahahahaa....
I loved this episode, it got in a groove that no episodes have really had for almost a season now. TMLH had it like 70%, but this was just strait up quality all the way through. People that said it didn't have enough jokes, maybe need to watch it again. The second half of the ep, practically every line Fry says is a joke... i love it.

Also, I love how the show blatantly makes fun of timetravel and all its impossiblities.

I think I figured out why this episode was so non-eventful. There was absolutely no professor! I mean, over the past season for sure, he has completely stolen the show, in the truest Joey & Chandler, Karen & Jack, Homer (season 3-8) tradition. This Fry and Leela relationship bullshit is boring compared to the great Farnsworth.

So I guess it's just the geeky shipper fans who inhabit the internet Futurama spaces who loved this ep. Me, my house-mates and all the other 'regular, humour-loving' Futurama fans who we've shown it to all thought it was pretty lame.

I still can't stress enough how great 'Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles' was though. Best episode, ever.

Don't forget those of us who get off on the geeky hardcore sci-fi time travellin' paradox bits. Plus, you have a point. Not enough Farnsworth. Although I can't stress enough how this was a fantastic episode.

Sometimes you have to lower yourself in order to get a point across to the filthy masses. Using a cultural reference in order to illustrate a point in no way means I'm a fan of either show.

I do not have the gumption to go through four pages of thread right now. If I'm repeating something anyone else said here, then may the Mods have mercy on me! Here it is:

1) Fry saved the universe by making a delivery.

2) Nibblonian lore calls Leela "the Other." If this means Fry is supposed to get lucky with her at some point in the future, then it could mean that he is to save the universe again by making another delivery.

Uuuhhh... you do know I'm talking about sperm, right?

Fry and Leela should never end up together. It would ruin one of the comedy cornerstones that Futurama has.

I hate to disagree, but Farnsworth seems a little off, lately. He's too angry. I know, I know...his crotchetyness was the whole point of Teenage Mutant Leela's Hurdles. But still, it seems like he's been too "in your face". Whatever happened to the friendly, happily senile Professor? With his "good news!" and his "oh my, yes"'s. Nowadays it's all "shut up!" and "your apartment smells like cat pee!".

He's still awesome, but I kind of miss his former, happier self. Perhaps these writers need a new angle on life! Why I've even written a song about it...

Now what praytell is your problem? Is this beat up on Zombie day? The guy made a delivery (a bomb) and saved the day. What's wrong about that? As for the other stuff, I'm sorry if it's prurient, but sexual intercourse usually is the culmination of any succesful dyadic relationship, and sexual intercourse is basically just a delivery mission. Ah! The sound of debate! Music to my ears! Hey TNUK, no offense meant, but your bolded "never" came on a bit strong IMO. I'm not here to start up the Leela/Fry debate as there's a whole thread devoted to that, but you gotta let some things slide. Craziness is one such thing. You're crazy, I'm crazy, we're all crazy. Now lets all get crazy and do a nude conga line Kristi's right though, CZ. We kid around. There's not a sane one among us. Some are crazier than others though.

Don't know if I said that before, but TWOF was a mild disappointment, since it more or less repeated what had been mentioned in other episodes before. And Chaz is a tough opponent for Michelle in the contest for the worst character ever...

Also episodes involving timetravel usually give me headache...

Michelle was only the worst character ever because of her constant refusal to accept what she could and could not change. Otherwisethat honour would have belonged to Harold Zoid.

I think this episode was ok, I liked TMLH, it was really funny. But I think the huge gap between the episodes doesn't help to get into it. Maybe it would have made more sense to see it in the original order...

Hmm interesting episode. Unlike a lot of people I don't hate Nibbler but I absolutely despise the Nibblonians. The plot got to the brains a little too quickly for my liking and there wasn't really enough Bender.

For some reason the Leela/Chaz plotline where Leela gets to see how exciting it is when someone she is close to calls the shots reminded me too much of that episode of Friends where Phoebe dates that health inspector.

None the less it wrapped up a lot of unanswered questions and I really like the brains so I suppose I'll give it an A.
