Has anyone ever wept over something they saw in Futurama?  I don't smoke weed very often but I was stoned out of my mind when I saw "Leela's Homeworld" and I bawled like an infant at the ending.  Weed just takes away your inhibitions.  You usually don't do anything you wouldn't want to do otherwise.  So, I'm gonna say that I was genuinely moved by that scene.  There were also a few others that tugged at my heart-strings.  How about you?  Did you ever sniffle or swallow a lump in your throat or go misty-eyed over the lives of the Planet Express crew?  Be honest now.  If not, what would you say were the most emotional moments in the show so far?

but the end of luck of the fryish made me teary. god i love that ep.

Jep, I must confess that there where several episodes that made me cry, although normally I'm to macho...   :)

Luck of the Fryrish:
Man I've seen that episode now for about 10 times and I can start crying by only thinking of the end...

Parasites Lost:
Same for this one, especially the last scene...

Leela's Homeworld:
Great ending, not as emotional as the above one...

Jurassic Bark:
You know, end sequence...

Love and Rocket:
The "you gave me your oxygene" scene....

That's all I can think about now.
As I said before, normally I never cry, (especially not on tv-shows) but futurama has the power to do this to me ...   :)

Jurassic Bark gave me a lump in my throat, and I was just shocked at the end of luck of the fryrish

Hey, maybe we should start using spoilers in this thread, for the benefit of those who haven't seen some of these episodes yet? 

The end of "Time Keeps On Slipping" also made me go all mushy inside.  Big time.

Don't bother.  It could take months or even years for everybody on PEEL to see every episode.  As far as I'm concerned, once the episode's aired for the first time on FOX, it's fair game for discussion.

All those scenes for me too. I particually like the Love and Rocket one. However i've never actually cried over anything in it.

When I first saw Luck of the Fryish I cried. It was a brilliant ending though  :)

Luck Of The Fryrish, Love And Rocket and Jurassic Bark all brought me close to tears, particularly Fryrish as that was the first real tearjerker episode I saw.

Or, just 14 weeks if you have access to Cartoon Network (except this seasons's shows of course).

To be on topic, the end of Jurassic Bark.  I didn't actually cry, but I sure felt the emotion of the scene.

I remember a comedian years ago talking about if you're watching a war movie with hundreds of dead bodies lying around, the audience just sits there.  BUT, then have a dog come on screen limping and the whole audience starts reaching for the tissues.

That's me all over.

"Luck Of The Fryrish" had me on the verge of tears the first time I saw it.

The ending of "Jurassic Bark" was brilliant, but didn't actually touch me in a strong emotionel sense. Probably because I never had a dog, and don't like them all that much.

I absolutely love the ending montage in "Leela's Homeworld". Best moment of all of season 4. Period!

Parts of "Love And Rocket" and "Parasites Lost" was great stuff as well.

+Luck of the Fryrish - I cried at the very end when I saw the flashback.  It was so sad!  And then how Fry threw the clover back into the grave...

+Parasites Lost - I didn't really cry, but the ending was so... I dunno how to describe it.  When he started playing the holophoner and an image of Leela's face started forming.  So great... :]

+Bendless Love - When Bender was telling Angelyne, "But... *I* love you..." That got my heart turning.  I totally connected with him right there 'cos I was put in a similar situation before where my boyfriend chose his ex over me, and I let him 'cos I wanted him to be happy.  Good thing she dumped him, ha ha.  >;]

+Time Keeps on Slipping - Toward the end when he found out what it was that made Leela love him... the stars spelling out, "I Love you, Leela".  That brought tears to my eyes.  :x  lol.  I'm so pathetic.  Argh. ><

I can't remember if I've cried in anything else, really.  :[

Come to think of it, even the ending of "The Honking" was kind of touching, in a quirky sort of a way.

I'm not much of a weeper.  The most touching moment in Futurama in my opinion is the ending scene in "Leela's Homeworld" pure magic.  Along with most if not all of the above mentioned moments.  Is this a great show or what?

I notice the ep's mentioned so far as having elicited a strong emotional response are about one of 3 things in the Futurama universe:
Fry's background.
Leela's Background.
Fry & Leela's 'relationship' (quotes just 'cuz I hate the word).

Parasites Lost -------- Strong emotional response.
Luck of the Fryrish ---- I was all teary-eyed at the end.
Time Keeps on Slippin - Strong emotional response.
Bendless Love -------- No strong emotional response.
Love & Rocket -------- Haven't seen it.
Leela's Homeworld ---- Same, Same.
Jurassic Bark --------- Ditto.

*sigh*
I'm a sucker for the Leela/Fry thang.

yeah!!!   has to be jurassic bark, the ending left me totally gobsmacked, didnt know whether to laugh or not and then the luck of fryrish which was very good but equally sad

I almost cried when I saw "Luck of the fryrish" and "Jurassik Bark".

I guess that's because I really like the show and I started to care about the characters, even if I know they are cartoons.

It's like that episode of the simpsons where Homer becomes smart. The last scene was so moving. I just love it when Homer shows his love to Lisa.

They're characters.
Cartoon or not, how is one character any more or less 'real' than another?

Oh, come on.  What's the big deal?  If someone said they cried over a movie (with real live human actors) no one would even think twice about that.  People shed tears over the sad parts in a book.  That's even less "real" than a cartoon.  Shrinks say that when you cry over fiction it's because it reminds you of something in your own life, you just can't consciously recall what exactly.  I'm just pleasantly surprised to see that so many people had the stones to admit it.  Good for them.  Shows they have some depth.  It's a darn good show.  Better than most non-animated shows airing this season.

But not for any sad stories but the end of Luck of the Fryrish was moving.

Good thing I had my tear ducts removed, otherwise i would have been crying at the end of several episodes.
Still, the sad episodes (like Time keeps on slippin', Jurassic Bark and Luck of the Fryish) did reach my heart in a weird way.

I've never actaully cried during an episode, but the endings of "Luck of the Fryrish" and "Leela's Homeworld" definitely moved me.

Bambi's mother dying is social propaganda!!!  Bambi's mom would have made a fine meal, I do declare!  :laff:

Anyways the flashback episodes are always movers (I love how they use the flashback) Ex: Luck of the Fryish, Leela's Homeworld, Jurassic Bark.  I think Leela's Homeworld is the most powerful, I have that song stuck in my head now... :| :+)
I thought it was sad in Time Keeps on Slippin' when Bender couldn't be a globetrotter, and he softly whispers the tune. :+(

Nope, didn't cry. Thought the dog's devotion was touching though. Maybe if he'd actually been there in SP3000, I would have been more impressed.

definitely luck of the fryish. i had a suspicion that the simple minds track would play at the end when fry hid the clover in the "breakfast club" soundtrack cover  ;)

a really good episode.other episodes that jerked a tear...

- jurassic bark
- leela's homeworld (music just slays me)
- parasites lost
- time keeps on slipping
- love and rocket (a lil at the end with the oxygen thing).

I think most of the tear jerkers where in season3, and probably for me (the best season).

I've seen all the Futurama Episodes to date and it seems to me that the music is the thing that draws a tear. The creators of the show sure know what music to play!
