No, there is certainly a lot of us here that worries about the enviroment. I for one. We discussed the Kyoto thing a while ago, on the old offtopic board. There are some political threads in offtopic. I think you'll get a better respons there on these things, than in an episode review thread. The current politics thread is called "topical debate". Edit: yeah I know, but I just got "Crimes Of The Hot" 1 hour ago. I simply couldn't go to bed without watching it first. [This message has been edited by Helpy McHelphelp Teral (edited 11-13-2002).]

I loved that joke. I finally saw the episode. It's too soon for a detailed analysis, but I liked it. It was funny. Gore was pretty good. Fry's jokes--good. Bender sympathizing with the turtles...ok. Most of the other stuff--good.

Yes! Break the chains of sucky Amy/Kif and Fry/Leela wuv affairs. I loved this episode! But where did Bender's new shoes go? However, my favorite parts of the episode were the Hedonismbot scenes. <sigh> they don't make robots like that anymore... This looks very promising for the important 5th season.

Man I love Futurama. Watching this ep back to back with the new Simpsons ep just re-enforced that fact. If anything, it's just so much easier to watch. Seeing that we haven't seen any new stuff in so long, I really didn't watch it in a critical state of mind, just purely for the enjoyment, so I really don't have any in-depth analysis of it. Seeing that nothing bad stood out and the fact it was good, fun watching, I give it an 8/10.

well, i finally managed to watch the ep. thanks to the magical "D". I liked it. and considering it took me 4 days to find it and over 12 hours to "d" it, Fox had better not preempt any more episodes. cause i'm running out of places to hide the bodies.

Nice episode!I liked it, not too complicated, fun, but still interesting and intriguing, like most Futurama episodes. There were a few laugh out loud jokes, my favourite being Fry's "That's awful Professor, especially the making out part." As Nix said, this was one of the few Bender episodes which didn't suck, as he was showing emotion in this episode, instead of being obnoxious and rude, a stereotype created by the media which Fox seemingly were trying to fit.

I thought the episode was great. Al Gore was good, the plot moved along a little too quickly, but the jokes were solid and thats all that matters. 4/5.

I was a bit behind on seeing this, but after ‘acquiring’ it I’ve seen it twice. It’s a good solid episode, nice plot, although nothing exceptional. I enjoyed it a lot, and I loved that first scene where Nibbler burps, and everyone falls down. It’s nice to see him back. I loved seeing the robot party with all those robots. They had nearly every robot ever on the show! I didn’t see Robot Santa though, but he doesn’t live on Earth anyway. It was awesome seeing Roberto again, stabbing another robot. It was cool seeing Beelzebot again too; although it’s a pity he didn’t say anything. Even the robot mail-bot from ‘Bicyclopse’ was in it. Seeing all those robots animated together was cool. Another part of the episode I loved and thought was really funny was when Professor Farnsworth was explaining getting the ice of Hailey’s Comet, and he whooshed his arms around then said “safe” Nixon was great too, and it was cool too see Wernstrum again. There were some parts of this episode I wasn’t so keen on though. Futurama seems to be starting to get a few ‘wacky’ jokes here and there, much like The Simpsons. Of course Futurama hasn’t gone down that road yet, and it was a lot more substance, but those kind of cheap jokes are creeping in. Like when Bender ‘received mail’, and when he somehow went halfway round the world with no time passing, to get a turtle, and had those clog shoes. And when that mirror burnt that guy, it was so Simpsons esque. The global warming film was a little too similar to something in The Simpsons too, although it was really good, and I can’t really complain. Overall I thought it was an average episode, not outstanding, but had plenty of cool stuff, and was decent, just like Futurama always is

Well, it is Futurama. They can get from Earth to the Moon in less than 3 seconds, so a 5 minute trip to Holland isn't that farout.

I loved this episode. I thought it was solid in every way, mostly because I'm not a fan of the love/general emotion in some episodes. Nixon was awesome especially. He seems to be drawn differently, but the stuff he says is so great....there will be no escape... from the fun! ...really good smokes! ...two hours! Morbo is pleased, but sticky.

I really enjoyed this episode. I have to agree with Otis that the robot party was particularly fun to watch. It was too bad that some of the more hilarious robots only had walk-on roles, but I guess twenty-two minutes is just too short. I did have a good time naming the robots as they appeared. My brother was amazed that I remembered who Fender was. The episode also featured some good appearances of Morbo and Nixon, two characters who tend to get left in the margins. I loved Bender's newfound inability to get off of his back, it was hilarious (in a sadistic sort of way) to see him flailing on the ground. One of my favorite lines from this episode was Fry's quip, "That turtle isn't you. Why do you care about it?" When it comes down to brass tacks, I'd have to give this episode 12.3 out of thirteen.

I wasn't so fast in getting this episode, and I didn't read this thread till I got it. Now I can say, that I'll never regret of that day when I heard about the Futurama. It's a very good episode, and I was smiling through the all time I watched it. It was like a sweetest sweet breath of fresh air when you are deep under water… After that I feel more like watching really new Futurama season. After all these good reviews, after all this fans' reactions… unfortunately fox’ executives have ass on their necks. I want to believe ©My favorite scene was that one, with scientists’ conference. Al Gore was pretty good. And the last moments of the conference, the atmosphere, Farnsworth’s confession, Wenstrum's Earth-saving plan, and Gore’s last words: I must go now to help collect cans on Jupiter… Crowd’s shouting: Destroy all robots! And Fry tells Bender: be brave my friend... the whole atmosphere of this scene was very good, IMO. Didn’t I ever mention? I didn’t like Bender too much, but after this episode, hmmm-m… I have nothing to say more, and I'm going to re-watch it again. Amen.

Bumping this slightly, as it was shown in the UK tonight.I enjoyed the Episode, it wasn't the greatest, but good nonetheless. I'm not sure whether it was because it's the first new Futurama for a while, or because of the quality of the episode.

Yeah I only saw it last night. I thought it was a very good episode, Nixon was great, I loved that line "and there will be no escape....from the fun" Also Zoidberg bit where he figures out the party has a trap was really funny. Gore inventing the enviroment, Farnsy in that swinsuit thing there is too much funny shit to remember. I give it an A-, not quite a classic Futurama episode but definetely above average

I loved it, quite a funny ep....I loved all the robots from past eps and I recognised most of them, that's so cool for people who notice everything.... I'll edit this after watching it a few more times but an all round good episode, the only down side is it brings us one step closer to the end....

That's no reason to dislike the episode Gleno.I personally thought it was great, although some parts were just too Simpson-y, and Bender was way out of character. Still, the "None Like It Hot" video alone made this episode worth watching. Overall, I'm giving it an 8/10.

I didn't say I disliked it, I"ve watched it 4 times since it was on and I love it....I agree Bender was out of character, it was wierd him crying about the turtle as soon as he saw it on TV but there ya go.... I'm bumping this up because tonight it's airing on Cartoon Network US. Well, I have to say this was one of my favorite episodes personally. I haven't seen this episode in a few months. But I finally saw it again. Here are the things I Liked : 1. The Robot Devil and Lionel PreacherBot at the party on Galapogos Island (sp?) 2. I didn't like the fact Flexo and Angelyne weren't there (or hiding, or in a deleted scene) 3. More of the past! WOO! And the reaction to the story about the Ancestor robot ("I didn't have to hear that" ) 4. The "None like it Hot!" video (It made me think about the video in "I Dated a Robot"... In fact, that's what the film's called!) 5. Bender as a turtle was hilarious! 6. I thought the end was a little gross with all the gas going on. That's it. Very good episode. Although the end...
