If it were possible to make a Futurama Spin-off, what characters would you like to be the stars of the new show, and what would you like it to be about? This is my idea...

It can either be called "Aloha Mars!" (which was an alternate title for Futurama originally), or it can be "Amy & Kif."

It starts off with Amy & Kif moving to Mars with their new baby son/daughter and it shows how they deal with parenthood and how the Wongs give them a helping hand, but condemn Amy for having a baby with Kif. Of the rest of the Futurama cast, I would say they should try to get Zoidberg in on the action in some way.

I know a spin-off of Futurama is highly unlikely to happen, but even so I'd like to hear your ideas for spin-offs. Also, tell me what you think of my idea listed above.

"Kroker, P.I."

Kif Kroker, moves to Tropicana. A sunny, Eden-like planet populated by every imaginable kind of species from all over the universe. He could settle with living the sweet life. But he and finacée, Amy Wong, want more. They set up shop as private investigators. And Tropicana is a veriatably cornucopia of crime and corruption.

With determination and skill they go about solving every case that lands in their lab.

Along for the ride is Reggae-Boy, Hermes Conrad. Using his contacts in the limboing underworld, Reggae-Boy is invaluable to the Krokers in their job.

Also there is Zapp Brannigan, much to Kif's chargrin. Every time Zapp get into trouble, Kif have to bail him out. Particular Zapp's fascination with the local colony of Amazonians is much trouble. Somehow, if always ends with Kif having to fight his way through hoardes of Amazonians, that willingly cast themself at his feet. [sigh]

The Aloha Mars sounds nice too. Everything Kif-related sounds nice.

Edit: this was not an attempt to plagiarize Nix. I never saw his post. Besides, my idea sounds better.

I think Zapp is closer to Wiggum and Kif is closer to Skinny-boy.

Good point. I started out modeling it around Magnum, and along the way I drifted in direction of the Simpsons Spinoff episode. Ended up as a hybrid, I guess.

Three's a Spinoff

Fry moves in with Amy and Leela. In order to fool the landlord, the Roperbot, Fry pretends to be gay, leading to oh-so-many romantic mixups.

Back to the Futurama

The Professor inadvertantly creates a time machine in his sleep out of an old 2985 Daloriamatic.  Bender steals it to sell, not knowing it's true purpose, and inadvertantly travels to December 30th, 1999.  He inadvertantly seriously injures Fry and craches the Time Machine into the Hudson River.  Having preventing Fry from entering the cryo tube, Bender starts to disappear little by little.  Now he must ensure that Fry does enter the cryo tube, so that his future is preserved, and then fix the Time Machine so he can return to his own time quickly, instead of trying to survive 1000 years of war, etc.

I remember in the Roswell episode Bender didn't seem to mind being stuck in the past for 1000 years.

I know I shouldn't take this thread seriously, but any spinoff would still just end up being another wacky comedy about the future. If anything legitimate were tried, it would have to be Fry: The Rookie Years, about him and his friends hanging out in the year 1999.

Or you could go back even further, and have a hilarious Revolutionary War comedy based on the life of Minute Man Yancy Fry.

What, you mean a boring non-metallic version All my Circuits?

Also, the Wongs do nothing BUT encourage Amy to have a baby, they wouldn't condemn her!

Or conversely

Super Math Happy Hour - With Hermes Conrad

An eductational show presented by Grade 35 Beaurocrat Hermes Conrad from his office in the Planet Express HQ. Watch him solve complex equations on calculator, see him file all manners of different papers, listen as he makes little reminders to himself onto tapes. Expect other crew members to "accidently" walk into his office by mistake, and play along too as both you and the other crew members try to figure out the perplexing dialect questions he throws at them.
Look out for it this winter, on FOX!!!!
(!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Or conversely still I could stop plagerising (hehe, that's my favourite word at the moment) and come up with one of my own...

(Spacebourne Mobile Army Surgical Hospital)

The story of army doctors iHawk and Zoidberg, surgeons under fire.  We took a single scene from "War is the H-Word" and stratched it out to 11 years.

See them exchange frindly banter while trying to heal wave after wave of Zapp Brannigan's own men.

Ear Wonder

Follow the zany adventures of SALLY, the orphan with an ear-face and a tail, as she discovers that she is actually a product of genetic engineering by the secret government project S.A.L.L.Y. - Secret Agent Lying Low Yearly  (OK, so I'm suffering from a lack of inspiration, so sue me).  A combination of gritty actions scenes from Dark Angel with the heart-felt warmness of Small Wonder, Ear Wonder is sure to please all.

Anything that could give more backgroung information on some of the characters would kick ass. It could be just one series which takes one character a week and shows us what they used to be like. though some episodes would be weak, especially Leela and Amy. But Zapp&Kif, Bender, Fry and Zoidbergs would all make up for the crap ones.

The B-team

In 3000, 2 idiots and an alien babe was sent to prison by an oafish moron for a crime they did not commit. They promptly escaped a low-level security starship into the New New York Underground. Today, still wanted by DOOP, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and you're really, really, really desperate, maybe, just maybe, you should hire...

The B-Team.

Yeah, the title sucks, but whadaya gonna do.
