This could prove to be a very controversial topic for fans of both shows but what are you views about Futurama and The Simpsons combining?

We've already had some minor crossovers like at the beggining of The Simpsons episode "HomR" Fry runs onto the couch instead of Bart. In the video game "The Simpsons Wrestling" some Futurama characters can be seen in the crowd. Also in the Futurama episode "A Big Piece of Garbage" Bender finds some old Bart dolls. I'm sure there are others I've missed out too.

I thought it would be quite an interesting idea if in a future Futurama Anthology of Interest episode the professor invents a machine that somehow transprts the P.E crew back in time and into a Simpsons episode. We could then see how the P.E crew react to being in Springfield and the reactions that the townspeople have on them. It would be funny to see Kent Brokman with a news flash explaining what had happend. It would be cool to see how the Springfield residants react to seeing people who don't have yellow skin. Professor Frinks reaction to Bender would be interesting too.

Apart from the one off non standard episodes like A.O.I and THoH I think it would be a mistake to fully combine them but it could be interesting if done correctly. Maybe when the two shows end or after they have ended something like this might happen, What do you think?

I don't think the 2 writing crews on both shows would want to be involved with it. And there would be so much legal work involved that everyone would just wish Flanders was dead.

Anyways, the only think I can think of is being it a ripoff of The Jetsons Meet the Flintstones. Professor Farnsworth makes a time machine to see how people of their future live like, but end up going back to 2001, in Evergreen Terrace. OFF and the PE crew trade places for a while, etc. etc. While Fry will feel at home, Bender works at the Power plant. A lot of things can go on.

IT would be more intereting to see Kent try and deal with Morbo. Muwhahahaha......

Actually, a thing like a Simpsons-Futurama crossover would probably work on a second Spinoff Showcase... time travellers from the future (that happen to take the form of Fry, Bender, and Leela...  :D)

Eh, if they did it on TV, it'd ruin both shows, dammit! Though the idea for a clip show in my brain is good. But don't sneak in and watch it. There's some weird undescribable stuff going on in my brain.

How could the Simpsons be ruined any further?  Wait, don't answer that.

I knew the answer to that one, but your wish is my command, Nix. (FRA#33: It never hurts to suck up to the boss, or his lieutenants)

Maybe if they did a Futurama episode, which told the story about how the Simpsons finally got closed: After having watched 9 great seasons, 5 so-so seasons and 47 horrible, plot-reusing, stale, incredible unfunny seasons FOX-viewers finally snapped, formed a big mob and stormed FOX HQ. Grabing the ones responsible for keeping Simpsons on the air, they dragged them outside, beat them up good and left them face down in the gutter. Afterwards FOX got the message, and stopped Simpsons (but for reruns of all 61 seasons, night after night after night after night.....).

Oh yeh, I forgot to mention that time when Bender made an appearance in a Simpsons episode, near the end of "Missionary Impossible" he can be clearly seen.

Personally I don't want a spin off show incorporating both shows but I would quite like to see either an AOI or THoH that has a crossover in one of it's thirds, but only once.

I guess a comic crossover wouldn't be so bad...I never think of comic book spinoffs as "real" anyway. But having any sort of crossover on the show would be the lamest thing ever.
