The best 2th season episode.

What I specially liked about this episode was the horror-movies-relation. The idea with the two heads on one body (anyone seen "The incredible two-headed mutant"?    )is old, but it turned out to be funny because Fry and Amy used to be a couple. Zoidberg plays somehow the mad scientist (doesn't he do that in every episode?) and gives some nice laughters.

Overall, it's one of my personal favourites. Great jokes, great environments and great expectations.

Pretty good episode. Not topnotch, but deffinately a keeper. A slow start, although the carsalesman was pretty funny with all his talk about eagles. The Amy/Fry relationship was a good idea. Too bad they didn't run along with that, maybe stretched it a few episodes. Amy and Fry is defiantely the two people who could talk about "junk and stuff".

Once the carcrash happens though things pick up. Fry's head on Amy's body did open up a big can of jokes.  Espicially the talk in the supplies-closet and the Valentinsday-dinner was great and funny. It was also great to see the friendship between Fry and Leela, when she came in to rescue him from a "night to remember". Good work.

Leela, although very much in the background was also done well. Her scenes with Bender was the best of them, but would she really ve the one who would come with him to the trial?

Bender. He had some good oneliners, but most of his part was either not interesting, or solely for the purpose of suporting the other story-parts. His presentation of the dates he found for Fry and Amy was OTOH very funny.

Zoidberg, he was hillarious. Both his oneliners and the way he acted. The dorsal-fin and the Europa part being the best.

Hermes and Farnsworth, well they were also there, but very forgetable.

What more to say? I like the part where Amy sang when Fry wanted a private conversation. The references to the Zapper was also good. The 2001-monolith was a very good homage. I liked the name "HG´s Fuel" (Hg is the chemical symbol of mercury). The Zappers guestpart was also a keeper. The music they heard on Mercury was great.

To sum up: Very good, let's call it a 8

I think it was a very funny and surprising episode. Zt draws the attention a little away from Fry and Leela which gives the two characters a break. Most of all I liked the scenes at the Malfunctioning Eddies. Especially the quiet jokes, like Victors eyebrow when Amy negotiates the price. My favorite line:"My parents promised to buy me a bar if I got all Bs, and I got all Cs!" Also Amies parking-scene in front of Planet Express was great. And I really wet my pants because of the "eagles" in the Beta Romeo. I don't kow if there is a special meaning to this joke but it appeared so grotesque to me.
Dr. Zoidbergs part was kinda okay, but not as great as in other episodes. Bender was hillarious as a pimp, but the dating-agency was kinda boring.
Overall it was a very good episode, not one of my top five, but very funny.

I saw it when it 1st aired a long time ago, & I remember it being one of the funniest I ever saw. I like it when they concentrate on 2 characters instead of 100.

I think Put Your Head On My Shoulders was a mediocre episode; good lines and bad lines.

I love this episode!

Remeber the guy with Zapp *snicker*,Zoidburg had me in stiches (Get it....*dodges Grenades* and Bender dateing servece was HELLA funny...i rate this GOOD by my standerds not Great like "Times keep on slipping" but good.

Bumping for the Random Order test...

My favorite out of the three for the test. First act was good, and the car dealership scenes were enjoyable. Then the Fry-Amy pairing kicks in. I did like their pairing, but I'm also glad it was just a one-time thing.

The episode becomes more interesting after the car crash, when Fry's head gets stitched to Amy's body. Bender's dating service also comes up, and it's actually one of the best parts of the episode. Got some great lines from the old Zapper, too.

Then we get to the actual dates, at Elzar's restaurant. Some nice cameo shots here, and it was entertaining to see the match-ups: Leela getting Sal, Amy getting that banker, Fry getting Petunia, and Zapp getting...some tranny. I enjoyed seeing Leela save Fry from having to experience...well, you know what. Then, we get a nice ending, with Bender's exploding ass and everything going back to normal.

Overall, a perfect Valentine's Day episode, and a great episode altogether. 9.5/10.

Only part that  bothers me is that they suddenly made Fry such a colossal jerk so they could break him and Amy up.  I think they realized that Amy and Fry go together too well, and there was no real reason their relationship should end, except for reset buttons and the Fry Leela arc.

That's actually quite a smart observation. I never really noticed that before, but the more I think about it, the more I agree. I think Fry becoming a jerk all of a sudden doesn't pull down his likability because he exaggerates and because his criticisms don't make any sense at all. So all in all, I think they pulled it off pretty well... doesn't change though that they had to rely on an unrealistic event in order to change things back to what they were like before. It would be interesting though if they maintained a relationship such as this one for a couple of episodes instead of breaking it of immediately.

And poor old Amy getting cockblocked by Leela.  (Is that the right word?  Or is it only cockblocked if it happens to a guy?  I don't think vaginablocked really works.)

I agree that "cockblock" rolls of the tongue more easily than "vaginablock".
But how about "clam jam"?

I still put it down to Fry being a jerk.  Fry's "jerkish" moments like this (as well as him being blowing up Al in Biciclops and not being the least bit sorry about destroying something so important to Leela) gradually get phased out.  After watching later seasons Fry where his naivite/sweetness are his biggest character traits, moments like this feel really jarring. Compare commitment phobic Fry (I guess the humor came from Fry mistakenly believing Amy was trying to get serious too early when it's pretty obvious she was happy with taking things slow and just liked hanging out with Fry), to Fry who moves in with Coleen who he barely knows, has a lot less in common with then with Amy (and he didnt have to share her with five other guys and counting), and pretty much tries to kill himself when she dumps him.

Much as I prefer Amy and Fry together, I want Fry and Leela together since they are The Couple.  As Ambitious said, it would have been interesting if they had kept Fry and Amy as a couple for a few more episodes.   I think Fry and Amy have a lot of chemistry together, (they certainly have more in common with eachother then their current partners), so I would have liked to see a real problem break them up rather then everyone's friend, The Romantic Reset Button.

Hmm I'm not sure, I found Fry's comittment phobia jarring and jerky.   It's not like I, Roommate when he is genuinely being selfish and thoughtless, but once this is pointed out to him he feels terrible and he tries to make amends.  Same with Hermes Requsitioned his Groove Back.  
I am glad this side of his personality got dropped (same with his behaviour in the early part of ABBFT, it just doesn't feel right having Fry act this way.)  The whole situation could easily have ended with Amy getting her heart broken, but luckily she wasn't emotionally invested into being with Fry (contrary to his suspicions) so she was able to bounce back easily.  I would have preferred it if Fry and Amy realized that while they had a lot in common, they were better off as friends rather then lovers after something took the spark out of their relationship.  After all the fact that Fry's head was sewn onto the body of a girl he wanted to break up with didn't really add much drama (that came from teh fact that Amy wanted to bang some goon)

Anyway, great episode, the only part was having Fry acting so out of character midway, but that's the only part that bothered me.  I loved everything else.

Well I guess I can appreciate you preferring occasional jerky Fry to Sugar and Sweetness Fry.  Childlike is another good term to describe modern Fry, while the original Fry was more like a typical 25 year old I think there was a spike in Fry occasionally being an asshole in Season 2.  He was a douche to Amy in this episode, but luckily she was a very good sport about it.  I think it's pretty funny because in that episode Amy is pretty much everything the Average Joe wants in a girlfriend, and the fact that she takes being dumped very well and doesn't have any drama about it is probably another bonus point, as misogynic as that sounds.    Other good examples are when Fry sneers at the Amazonian civilization, or worst of all, when he shoots Al and wasn't the least bit sorry about potentially destroying Leela's chance to find her true home.

I kind of prefer Fry's moments of jerkiness coming from stupidity/naivety then being genuinely nasty to someone.
