Is anybody else having trouble connecting to the server? It keeps on telling me I'm not authorised to.  I'm using irc.euirc.net, if it matters.

The network is slowly getting worse and worse. The line if "your connection is restricted" or "your are not athorised for *blah*" is pretty common lately and there are even server (like irc.stu.uk.euirc.net) that won't work anymore and are splitted from the rest of the network for most of the time.

I am mostly hopping between:
irc.ham.de.euirc.net
irc.zur.ch.euirc.net
irc.inn.at.euirc.net

Hookerbot- #FC has a completly different group of people than PEEL. Some of which dont even own an account, or got banned from PEEL(speli).

I'm in there a lot, and I try to respond whenever someone comes in.

What exactly do you see when you try to get in?

It can have many reasons why it is not working for you. I.e. the java applet is not loading properly, or you simply are too impatient to wait for it to connect, or of course your address is banned (it should say so if that is the case).

Yes, a select few of us are in there almost 24/7 (Gff, Slackit, CrapBag, Fry1077, Zoidberg277, and I don't know what happened to RavenStar)

try irc.euirc.net as well, it'll give you a random server out of their pool. I think sometimes, and especially lately, some of their crapp out. And as it seems they even shut down some. (i.e. Studley).

I just wonder what is with the coming of ircops once again. sick_boy (co-admin of Innsbruck, Austria) just joined again yesterday and now a guy named Arkaos (Serveradmin of London) today. The latter already had to display his power while he is typing like a 11 year old.

Is it running on XP? Maybe the XP firewall - or any other firewall you might have installed - is blocking the ports (6667) so that your client can't connect.

Mario, My home computer uses XP, but my Laptop is running on Windows 2000(Yes, it's a bit old)
But I think I've determined it's  some virus that it got(Too much downloaing of p0rn), and I run Ad-Aware every now and then, and that doesn't catch it.
So any suggestions for anti-virus software, or how to get rid of the virus?
