Yes, slick did join PEEL last year, his name here was as well "SiliconFuRy". I haven't seen him in quite a while though.

Quite a straight career. Not even a chatter for 3 days and he already made you an operator and even left you with halfops before he went to bed.

You lost them however when you left the room and came back a minute later.

 I will no longer have the bot in #futuramachat.   Simply because it seems everyone needs to complain about something that he does.

It says it might take some time to load the first time, and I can never be bothered to wait, how long does it take roughly, because I always get the feeling that it would load if I had waited another 10 seconds, and it really bugs me!

So can I have a rough estimate please?

The Java client isn't very fast, just leave it running in a new window until it works.

Otherwise try using an IRC program rather than the Java client. Try mIRC for a 30 day free trial, with some other free versions of other programs available if you dig about.

If you choose this option, put the following info in:
Server: irc.sick-du.de
Room: #futuramachat

Do you just get a page load with this message:

"It might take some time for the chat to load the first time. Please be patient."

Or is there a box underneath that loads? If there's no box or anything that actually appears to load, you don't have Java (An app that you often see for online stuff like chatrooms and games). In which case i'd download from the above link i gave and enter the details, it's not too hard.

More people should go into the chatroom.

@Bean:  I hate to break it to you, but people in the chatroom dont just sit around all day waiting for people to connect to talk to. 

Many of the people there are idle.  Ever notice a name with |away next to it?  I didnt realize that not answering people because Im not there makes me ignorrant.

Try chatting a bit and if no-one responds, they're probably all away. Try again later. Usually it's most active around 10-1 GMT / BST, as the most active are usually the Europeans in there.

I usually just go in there, say "What up?", if no one answers, I don't say anything. If you are lucky, every now and then, theres a good conversation going on.

It's picking up quite a bit, i'm getting people to come back rather than just leave and never return. You should try it one night.
