Esh, bloody hell. I got onto the link on Page 4 as I usually do, then I got cut off. Now I cant get back on. Keeps saying something like' Only allowed 1 person on per host'. But I'm stuck off the thing, Dammnit!

Um...

It won't let me connect, cause it says that I'm banned from the channel (+b).  Why was I banned?  O_O


I will admit that, the other day, the first time I accessed the channel was through IRC - I was using my alternate nick at the time (PokemonTrainerLisa).  But I realized I had the wrong name, so I left the chat.

However, after changing my nick, I tried to access the channel again but couldn't (it said my address was banned). 


Um, that just seems awfully strange to me, since I didn't do anything wrong....

Could someone perhaps unban me?

I like using IRC chats, and I was hoping to join in on the discussion.

I'm not sure who banned you or why, but if you can give me the nick you usually go by, and possibly your hostmask, I'll bring it up to the ops in there.

The nick I normally go by is: FryFangirlLisa.

(when I entered though, I had my other nick - the one I use for Pokemon themed channels)

There are times of the day where it isn't very active, and then there are times where it is.  This time period varies on where you live.

I wasn't sure if it was the Fry thing... why is that?

That's rather odd though, considering it's supposed to be a Futurama chatroom (regardless of how often the show actually gets discussed).  ^^;


Well, anyway, I guess that means I'll just use my actual username anyway.  And if people ask who I am, I'll tell them I'm FryFangirlLisa from PEEL.

#FC can be very active around 5-12 pm. I've even had convos at like 1am in the morning. I like it much better than the forums. Indeed, they are very different beasts, but to each his own. I know people there who have never posted here, autumn and kifz come to mind.

Naturally, I know the importance of using good spelling and grammar over the internet.  It's just common courtesy for people to do that though, especially when you're posting on message boards/forums.  ^_^


And as for my age, well actually, I'm not as young as one might come to believe.  I appear as though I'm only 14 in regards to my hyper personality and my interests, but I am actually 20.   


Of course, there's no need to feel bad for making that mistake.  Often times, many people are under the impression that there are no true Pokemon fans older than, say 15.  But the truth is, even though the Pokemon franchise (games and anime) are targeted towards young kids and early teens, there are still many fans within the franchise's older audience.  The majority of us have been with the games/anime since the beginning and therefore are very attached to it, mainly due to the nostalgia it gives us (that and the fact that the games are quite addictive, while the anime has a very compelling storyline which makes you want to keep watching).

And unless I'm mistaken, I realized there doesn't seem to be a forum here where people can introduce themselves.  So in that case, I guess you could count this as my introduction post.  LOL.  XD

I'd say #fc has gotten a recent (last 2 months) surge of activity that is at least comparable to any other time when #fc was active.

Welcome aboard btw FryFangirlLisa. And as far as the banning of the word Fry, sometimes moderators do that to keep possible individuals from getting into the room.  It's not an activity I really agree with, but it has some reasonable arguments behind it: people using anything with "bender", "leela", "fry", or "zoidberg" in their names are usually annoying and idiotic.  Fry is the only one on the banlist right now though.

But, wouldn't it be easier just to give the certain bad people using those names an IP ban?  Then again, I guess they could easily evade those.  I have no clue, since I've never been an op or anything.

I believe that's been removed from the banlist recently; the nickname fry thing.

However, I couldn't get in just now due to a banning.  I'm on an unfamiliar computer and running an unfamiliar IP.... also I was using euirc; I'm not sure what that ban was on.

My other computer caught some weird virus, apparently (that's the computer I use where I access the chat using Mirc).

I have Mirc on this computer too. ^^


But I forgot what address to put for the IRC server.  o.o

Oh, and I've tried some of the addresses on the first few pages of this thread - but it keeps saying that I don't have permission.  So it won't connect me, for some reason.
