 It turns out I have 2 accounts.

The 1st one, witch is the one I use took a week to be activated. Thinking that it never got through, I created a 2nd one 3 days after the 1st, never been used to post and the email address is long since dead.

 So, if your gonna destroy it, destroy "Donny B".

Probally soon enough. And if he were to hack PEEL, Marc would get security systems up. And if PEEL were to be ever hacked, like Andy said, blackkatnorn would get blammed and thrown in jail of some sort for hacking. You know the story.

During the Peelies, I might be looking out for fake accounts a bit more than I did the last months.

For now, I'd like to hear from "Nicholas", "deathisback" and "Mr. Bender".
I'll ban these accounts and the other accounts that are connected to them if I don't get emails from those people and/or find that they nominate twice in any Peelie vote.

Sounds familiar...I think that's the creator of Futurama Break Out.He was banned from his own forum somehow because it turned out that he was a guy who created multiple accounts and spamming on nearly every forum he could find.

That's a naive assumption to take on.  Your logic is sound, and I can all but personally guarantee that Reginleif is a new person.  But the thing here, is that your statement is incorrect.  Whether you know it or not, there have been fake accounts perpetuated on this message board for various reasons and by various individuals that were either never injected into the off-topic section, or had a very long incubation period before they reached that status. 

That's all I have to say on the matter.

I haven't seen any double posts recently.  She's probably some noob who thinks we're telling her this to be mean.  She probably doesn't even know that mArc has to pay for all her posting.  If reprimands don't work, simply take a more permanent course of action.  Is it possible to block posts for a set time?

She's been to the chatroom quite a lot of times and has been under suspection of being "fake" there as well. However, I tend to say that she is not AND that she is just that - let me put it as - hyperactive like that.

Just tell her to stop, no need to ban her and in my eyes also no need to suspect her of being a fake account.

Also, most newcomers and people that post only in the ontopic section don't know that there is a man paying for all this here.

I don't know the exact contract, but I think he pays for a whole server for PEEL and CGEF. The domain is registered on the ISP Schlund und Partner / 1&1 United Internet which is one of Germany's biggest hosting companies. These are about 70+ € per month.

More info on that can onlybe provided by the man himself, and I doubt he'll tell us.

He also covers CGEF?  I thought CGEF was an independant site that helped support ours hence the "Proud to be supported by" at the bottom of the screen

PEEL is an independent messageboard. It just happen to be run/owned by the same group that run CGEF.

As for general information about funding and server loads: PEEL Funding and Favourites and Last Poster gone

The more posts, the shorter the timespan, the heavier the load on the server becomes. Avoiding doubleposts help in this regard, plus it just looks more organized and comprehensible.

By comparing IP's. Look in the upper right corner of each post and you'll notice the IP address of origination is logged.

Read the first post; in case of siblings or if it's deemed of value to PEEL (like Tallywacker). So basically you can plead your case and mArc will decide.

My Friend Created two accounts on my computer. The first (called Zapp_Sux or something similar) didn't work. The second (Zapp_Suxx) didn't work either. Delete both of them please.

Aye, must say I was wondering about this. On all the forums I've been on, there are tons of people with no posts. Why dont mods and stuff delete them if they've been inactive for a long time? I spose someone might want to come back to them one day, but still-if ust for my own interest levels, I'm curious.

On most Forums it is that way that only administrators can delete users. Especially on PEEL it is that way, since users aren't really in a database that is easy to access with fancy tools like on newer Forums, but text files on the server.
So it would be too much work to delete them, since it means going through tons of files and lines to check on every user that has 0 posts.

In the end it comes down to: Why bother? Beside that you never know if it could harm your system and make it instable to delete such a mass of information.
