Some things you should know:
- If you ever create a site in pure Flash, I, and a bunch of rampaging three hundred and sixty five kilogram gorrilas will hunt you down. Probably some other PEELers will beat you. Not everyone has the fast computer you do, or the amazingly stable and latest Flash plugin you do. I know personally Flash is very unstable - some sites crash Firefox entirely. Annoying when you have about 15 tabs open at the time.
- There's about only two document formats you can write web pages in. HTML and XHTML. There's a few versions of each, but XHTML is simply HTML 4 Strict with some changes for XML.
Getting back to topic, read
this, and
this. You'll need to use a text editor to do it. IMO it's the best way to learn it, because a lot of WYSIWYG editors create bloated and broken code.
