CGEF gets my vote, because I'm not really into Fanart and Fanfics, and CGEF has all I need: news, information, very good episode guides and trivia, etc. ! Great Site!

Edit next TOTPD for me!

I think PEEL was seperate to CGEF back in the days before the internet, but they joined-up early on. I think that's right.

Okay, "PEEL History 101" (at least what I've been able to piece together):

PEEL was created by The Futurama Elite (a links/webiste ranking site) back in the early months of 2000. Around May 2000 The Futurama Elite moved into a subfolder under CGEF, and PEEL became a co-owned/operated message board between The Futurama Elite and CGEF. When The Futurama Elite closed (sometime in the late summer/early spring of 2000) CGEF took over PEEL completely as their own messageboard.

That was the free version. "PEEL History 102" cost money.

Hey for some of the websites who aren't happy with the votes, I'll bet you'll get more votes if you support the Anchovies For Fry. An idea some Futurama fans have developed in sending a message to FOX on the one year anniversary of the show's cancellation. http://www.peelified.com/cgi-bin/Futurama/1-003337-3/#t83

In answer to your question, yes. Since we are entering the first one year anniversary of the show's cancelation, it is sort of sad. And "American Fry?"  That is the title of my song parody.

You better start getting organised, fryfan, if you want to make an impact with your anchovie thing. If the numbers are too small, it'll just be a minor action by some sad kooks.

I really don't think FOX will bring back Futurama, because FOX hates Futurama no matter how popular the show was to us fans. However, I believe Anchovies For Fry will send a message to FOX that as fans, we haven't forgotten about Futurama.

When Futurama was cancelled and on the day of final episode, FOX for the first time in a long time promoted the episode.

"Will Fry finally get Leela? Tune in to the Final Futurama."

That is what the announcer said and it had Leela saying, "I want to hear how it ends." and the scene with Tinny Tim with a newspaper had it read, Final Futurama. FOX had stuck it the face of all Futurama fans. Let's stick it to them. The treatment of Futurama's final episode was messed up. The treatment of final episodes for other shows, Fraiser, Friends, they get all hyped up and get treated like they're more important than oxygen and Futurama's final episode gets nothing. Nothing, but a "screw you" from FOX. So to the people who are going to get involved with Anchovies For Fry, you make sure to remember what I've said.

I don't mind if you use it, just as long you mention that the title comes from fryfan's song parody epic, "American Fry" parody of Don McLean's "American Pie".  Or something like that.

THANK YOU And to those who don't know what I'm talking about, let this song fuel you to join Anchovies For Fry even more.

American Fry (Parody of Don McLean’s "American Pie" )

by fryfanSpyOrama

A long long time ago
I can still remember how that show used to make me smile
And I knew if I gave it a chance
That I’d be happy and do a little dance
And maybe it’d be on for a long while.

But August 10, made me shiver
Saying goodbye to Fry, Leela and Bender
But we still had a blast
Bender traded away his metal ass.

I can’t remember if I cried
When I learned about the end of this space ride
But something touched me deep in side
The day the show died.

So bye-bye, Mr. Philip J. Fry
With a girlfriend named Leela
Who’s got only one eye
And that good ole Bender’s still drinking whiskey and rye
Saying this’ll be the day that we die
This’ll be the day that we die.

Did you know this pizza delivery boy
Is now a comic and an action toy
Maybe it is just as so
Can you believe in FOX’s role
May god damn their mortal souls
And I hope he takes it real slow.

Well, I knew the show would be big hit
But FOX still treated like it was shit
Of course we know we were screwed
What’s a bunch of die-hard fans to do?

All we can say is that FOX, you suck
Caring only about the mighty buck
And we all knew we were out of luck
The day the show day.

We started singing’

So bye-bye, Mr. Philip J. Fry
With a girlfriend named Leela
Who’s got only one eye
And that good ole Bender’s still drinking whiskey and rye
Saying this’ll be the day that we die
This’ll be the day that we die.

Now for five years we’ve been having fun
Watching the PE crew getting the job done
Making a whole bunch of deliveries.
Well I also like the Professor and Scruffy
Hermes and that sexy Asian, Amy
Dr. Zoidberg seemed real funny to me

Oh and while FOX was looking down
The PE crew just made them frown
Their decision was adjourned
With no chance of a return
And Matt and David fought for the show
But FOX merely gave them a big “no”
And we all just said FOX, you blow
The day the show died

We were singing

So bye-bye, Mr. Philip J. Fry
With a girlfriend named Leela
Who’s got only one eye
And that good ole Bender’s still drinking whiskey and rye
Saying this’ll be the day that we die
This’ll be the day that we die.

Now we fans sent in a bunch of letters
Saying keeping the show was for the better
FOX merely threw them in the trash.
72 episodes and dying fast
The show on FOX just couldn’t last
The PE crew was in for a big crash.

Now we remember Fry and Leela’s first kiss
It was a moment that we all didn’t miss
Now Leela can never be sad
Because she also found her mom and dad
And her pet Nibbler is not what he seems
Fry in the future was part of his scheme
Leela, “the other” we can only dream
The day the show died.

We started singing

So bye-bye, Mr. Philip J. Fry
With a girlfriend named Leela
Who’s got only one eye
And that good ole Bender’s still drinking whiskey and rye
Saying this’ll be the day that we die
This’ll be the day that we die.

Oh once a week we’d love coming to this place
This generation’s Lost In Space
But some say it’s more like Star Trek
Star Wars stuff was also used
To keep us fans still amused
But FOX won’t now bring it back.
Oh and Fry started blowing that holophone
I can sense Leela’s loving tone
It was the scene we’ve waited for
Leela and Fry together and maybe score
But the fact it was last episode that night
Just made us think it wasn’t right
But FOX just laughed with delight
The day the show died

We were singing

So bye-bye, Mr. Philip J. Fry
With a girlfriend named Leela
Who’s got only one eye
And that good ole Bender’s still drinking whiskey and rye
Saying this’ll be the day that we die
This’ll be the day that we die.

I knew August 10 was the end
And it felt I was losing a friend
But they’ll live on in my memories
I learned that the show wasn’t done
Cartoon Network now has it in rerun.
But it doesn’t just feel same to me

And in the end the fans just cheered
But to FOX we all just jeered.
No other word was spoken
Because all our hearts were broken
And the three people I admired a lot
Fry, Leela and the lovable robot
Are all gone, but won’t be forgot
The day the show died

And we were singing

So bye-bye, Mr. Philip J. Fry
With a girlfriend named Leela
Who’s got only one eye
And that good ole Bender’s still drinking whiskey and rye
Saying this’ll be the day that we die

A) Moving background and general layout/colourscheme looks poor.
B) Stolen images off Gotfuturama.com, again bad.
C) Lack of original content.

A short, frank but fair list of 3 major points of constructive criticism.

You know, that's why it's not done. Cause it's still in editing. But no one said constructive criticism never hurt nobody.   no no And sorry but which pictures off a CGEF is bad? The Die Cast stuff? Cause one it's all I have. And two that was Futuramafreak not me. Unless it's illegal to have framegrabs that I can't find anywhere else I am really sorry. But you have to be specific with me cause those were good points but I didn't get all of them...

I think i did have a longer list, but my browser crashed whilst posting it!

It is meant to be contructive, there are too many websites that just pop-up, have no content and disappear. If you want to be serious then these are useful points.

As far as i can remember, freewebs was kind of a crappy host. Learn how to use HTML and not a pre-made site builder and layout. It will be far more useful to you, much more rewarding and look better.

I was referring to the character pictures as Y_L_B kindly pointed out. Either try and make your own or at least credit CGEF for using their pictures. I don't think CGEF minds you using pictures too much (especially framegrabs), just make sure you credit them.

Original content. Well, that's up to you to work out when you develop the site. Good luck.
