That's right it is time to decide which fansite is the best.  Deciding the caterogies, wasn't easy.  I spend time visiting a few of these sites.  I also noticed how many times a certain website appeared as a link to other website.  Look at the bottom of this web page to see what I mean.  Now, you can vote by which one you mostly visit, by which one has the best features, or which one you'd rip off if you were going to start your own Futurama website.  I know in the future, there will be other fan site, but you can also decide on which is the foundation of Futurama fansites.  HAVE FUN

i'd have to go with... Planet Eternium! my own site!

seriously, though, i stink out loud. i'd go for CGEF or PEEL, and since you can get theoritically an infinite amount of information by asking for it on PEEL, PEEL it is.

CGEF was the first Futurama website I ever visited.  Then came FSAC and TLZ.  I must say I've submitted things to all three and I seem to like TLZ's quickness of uploading my stuff on their site.  I submit fanart and they show up within a few days, now that's service.  Definitly a site of the people.

Both CGEF and FSAC would take a long time to have my stuff submitted. In fact I've submitted fanfics to both CGEF (2 fanfics) and FSAC (3 fanfics)and I've yet to see any of them, even when I was asked to resubmit it because they said they lost my fanfics and that was late last year.  CGEF has fanfics of mine, but after a while they stopped uploading the fanfics I sent them.  FSAC had fanfics of mine, but pretty much did the same thing and after they changed their look, the fanfics they did upload are no longer on the site, my name is not on the list of fanfic writers.  Hope TLZ doesn't do that when I start submitting my old fanfics to their site real soon.

I guess the reason for not having my fanfics on both CGEF and FSAC is because they are always busy, what with having lives and all, it is something I can understand.  I have a life and that pervents me from writing as many fanfics as I'd like to.  FSAC seems to be improving now, when I submit to them fanarts. The fanarts show up on the site within a few days.  Other then that, I like all three sites equally and any other site for that matter for what they contribute in keeping Futurama alive.   CGEF, TLZ and FSAC are the top three I visit the most and that is why I parodied all three sites in my recent fanfic.

In response to FSAC's *slow* time.  I've been upto my ears with work provided by my new job which on occasions has meant bringing it home, leaving me not a lot of free time as well as a few other personal problems going on.  Allen and Jamie are both committed to their college work, so as it's summer time hopefully they can spare some time.  Andy's wife is expecting their second child some time in the near future, so he's been having to cope with his just over a year old daughter more and more.   With a bit of luck the improvements to the site should make life a lot easier and quicker for all the webbies.

Wait a minute, are you insinuating TLZ webmasters don't have a life?

Mental note: move fryfanSpyorama's fanfics to the buttom of priority list.

I wish Planet Eternium would get the most, but I too can admit that we don't have much content.  Yet.  Anyway, I voted for PEEL.  First I thought I would vote for CGEF, but I'm on PEEL a lot more, so I realized this must be better.

Obviously i voted for The Fry Hole. It may not be updated at the moment (Exams, i'm sorry! Wanna help, contact me) but i think it's a great site and considering its beginnings and the age of the webmasters, it's come very far.

No, I didn't mean it like that, I simply meant that in addition to having a life, you are more committed to the fans that send artwork and fanfics to you.  Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Hey Fryfan. Open mouth, insert foot. No matter what you post, you seem to be offending one or the other.     ;) First you imply TLZ webbies don't have lives, now you imply that the others aren't as committed to the fans. I found the whole thing hilarious when put in the right perspective.

Also, give us time! You have a habit of complaining when your stuff doesn't go up instantly. Even if things are quicker now, I still have to reformat your stories so they can go on the server. Some of the stuff you sent were html files and I didn't see it til later. Can't do much with those as they open in browsers not Notepad or Word.

One of them was that NYPD Blue parody. I think the others were Spy O rama suff

You're right Allen, as usually.  I'm sorry if I sound like I'm offending people, but let's get a few things straight, I never said that TLZ webbies have no lives.  That was taken out of context.  I just merely said that they upload fan stuff very quickly than other fansites.  For what ever reason why they are able to, I don't know why or how and I am not going to guess why or how.  However, I thank them for it.

As for the thing about "commitment", well maybe I meant to say something else.  I know FSAC and CGEF are committed to their sites, but it takes time for them upload thing fans send them.

As for giving you time, I believe I sent those fanfics in Jan and it has been five months, how much time does a person have to wait, I ask?  I only say this because, it seems fanfics by other writers have their work uploaded between Jan and now.  That made me feel I was being ignored or something.  I don't mind waiting a few days or so for my stuff to be posted, but I don't like the idea of waiting months for my stuff to be posted as well.  So sorry, about complaining, in fact one of the reasons why I pay homage to the sites in my fanfic was to pervent me from complaining. It was my way of laughing at the situation so to speak.

If I was a jerk, then I'd be saying you guys suck for not posting my fanfics, but I'm not a jerk, I'm not mad about my fanfics not posted on the sites and I never was.  Heck if I was mad, I'd say I'd start my own website and post my own fanfics and fanart, but I like posting my stuff on other sites. I love FSAC, TLZ, CGEF and all other futurama sites.  I have great respect toward every person who works on each Futurama site.  And if it takes months for my fanfics to appear on your sites, I'm not going to exploded, hey I have fanfiction.net to store my fanfics.  But I would like to know the status of my fanfics, and that is all I ask really.

Keep it on the real, I'm just a regular Futurama fan, who is trying to show others how big a fan I am by sharing fanarts and fanfics with other fans.  That is whole point to what I've been doing for the past year.  That is my only concern.

No, you're not ignored but I suppose I should just start posting stuff as is. That takes up a lot of my time trying to proofread. It appears to be my nature to correct stuff I find wrong. *Shrugs* I'm just not going to post stories I feel would be a waste (like those fics where all the characters die.) I like senseless violence as much as the next person, but that has little point. (Not talking about you Fryfan, since you haven't written a story like that)

You'll be up shortly don't worry.  ;)

As far as I know all the addresses now end in .com rather than .net Other than that, they're still pretty much the same. Andy and I handle fics. Paul and Jamie handle art.

I sent the fanart with the .net email.  Does this mean FSAC won't get it? I can't find where to submit fanart and fanfics on your site like I did before.  You used to flash the emails at the top of your site and that was how I did it.  I have the email for submiting fanart, (just replace .net with .com right?) but I forgot the one for fanfics.

We no longer have the universal e-mail accounts. You must choose young Skywalker who you want to send stuff to    ;) Hint: Andy IS currently busier than I.     :D Yeah like: allen@scanartcentral.com instead of .net On advisement, I've been told that's not working right. To send me fics, use the Yahoo one for now. It's in my profile and mail button on here.

Also, in case some people didn't notice, the addresses are located at the top of the page when you visit the site. No scrolling text this time.

Could you resubmit the fanart to either paulfsac@gmx.co.uk or jamiefsac@btinternet.com as all the scanartcentral.com e-mail adrresses are having problems receiving e-mails for some unbeknownst reason, will update further once solved.

Hokey dokey .. all @scanartcentral.com e-mail addresses are working again and the site has been updated accordingly.

I voted for TFP btw.  Since I admire JavieR's  courage at keeping his site going on his own for that length of time and dealing with the hosting problems he's been recently suffering.

Best overall: PEEL of course!
Best for information: CGEF
Best for me: Ain't no such thing as too much Amy Wong!

On a slightly unrelated but amusing note... For a laugh earlier on I went on the PEEL members list and did an interests search for "Amy". The only member that it returns is PaulFSAC!  :laff:

It does?

Anyhoo, with 0 votes so far (seems like Norway in a few Eurovisions of the 80's and 90's) is no surprise, since we're coming off a bad patch and basically being an art site with a few add-ons to try and make the site more appealing, is something of a disadvantage, but I don't intend to change FSAC from that direction, it started as an art site and in the majority will stay that way, although it's no longer just about my art, as I think a lot of people still perceive it to be.
