Who owns and controls this board?

I have seen many close topics and other things, but who of you is the boss?

Well, we have 2 admins and several moderators.
Moderators have no owner status. They help (and for that we are grateful) where they can and deliver the casually needed butt kick (eg, close topics or delete them).

Admins are slimmy and me.
I pay the bills and am more involved, but slimmy has nearly as much control over peel as me, if needed for some reason (ftp access and board admin access).

Peel 'ownership' is sort of hard to determine seeing its history with many staff changes and such ... Everyone knows which part he/she plays in the PEEL clockwork and it seems to run smoothly, that's all that matters for the public, i guess.

This has probably been asked before, but what's the annuity to keep this board up and running?

30...

hmm, if it stays at this and doesnt need a bigger account (without lots of squeezing i did, we already would need a bigger one), annually it's about $270

Ain't I nice ?

Anyway, for now it is ok with me, I can't really get ads anyway as ad companies hate message boards (too many repeat visitors) and I'd never use pop-anything ads. A banner would be the most but isn't due ATM.

Kick my butts (choose one) if i'm wrong, but i'm sure if you'd set up a "user fee" of -say- $1/month some of us (haha) would be glad to support you, wouldn't they?

Shhhhhhhut up...
I love PEEL as much as a man can love a message board on the internet, which turns out is a lot... but I wouldn't pay for it.

well, maybe instead of asking for money or donations, people could simply use the links i added at the top of the page for ther merchandise needs  ;)
I don't ever want to see pop ups here and I'd dislike a banner (plus thats hard to get nowadays). I think text links or small buttons are acceptable when not overdone (blink, marquee h1  :D). Sadly, my hoster sent me a letter yesterday that they will change their accounts by december to the new and improved, better for all hosting plans (read: more money for unused features). Oh well, done with whining  :)
Oh: If this thing *would* pay more than the costs for peel are, be assured it gets reinvested for some Futurama web project and not spent on chocolate, whores or cars  ;)
