Looks like the Outlet's on its way back. I checked on it today, and while the content's not there, the basic page is bag up, plus a message to "stay tuned for further details"...

Hi,

we are currently moving.

Content will be back as soon as possible.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

That's all I see and it's been like that for weeks. Plus, FuturamaOutlet.org seemed to have been the old, 'temporary,' position of TFO, so it's confusing...
Plus, this reminds me of the loss of CGEF.....and the Archive, NNYC.com...  :( :: Sigh ::

Kryten's not crazy, I see it too. Kickass...it's good to see it back, even if it's only the main graphic and a link-less menu.

It seems that all the site with Alien Alphabet on them are getting taken down. Killbots.com and this as well... seems mighty suspicious to me...
Duh... lets buy internet stock!

Even though TFO isnt open yet, they seem to have a lot of crappy ads all over the site including a pop up ad... I'm really hoping this will change.

Well, at least it's halfways up! I've been checking the site for months (...we are currently moving...), always the same deadline.

Still, it seems they upped it a bit too early, there are a lot of errors whenever I start it up.

Damn...now I've forgotten my text.

All right, the FO link button on my page is no longer useless! Hmm, it's back up with ads but no content? That is confusing... Well, glad to see it's back up. Although I miss nnyc.com just as well... :(

maybe i'm stupid or having just returned from london and still shaking off the english and therefore having a hard time readjusting, why did TFO (and all the other sites) disappear?

I contacted the admin of swma.net and he said he was hosting the page (only those several pages) on an account he owned somewhere, but it can't get alot of bandwidth so no files and stuff  :) but if the server gets free they'll be back :0 hehe

Is it just me or are all the good Futurama sites (at least the big, well-established ones) dying off, one by one?

My vote:  BRING IT BACK!  BRING IT BACK!

This really does suck... And I dunno what to do...  one part of me really would like to help them out... But it was such a huge site... and now its all gone...

And what heppend to TSAF?  That was spose to come back months ago.  Maybe we should all get good webmsaters and make a new futurama site.  I dunno... Futurama Online?

the thing with really good sites is ... they become too popular. They need lots of space and bandwidth. Most arent willing to pay it out their own pocket(-money) and with really big pages like outlet/cgef thats probably impossible anyway (my guess would be that outlet used about 30gb a month - more than a free host can give). havent seen Chris of TSAF lately, just dont expect it too soon.

they won't host them for $5  ;)
they ask more for needy sites and outlet would count as very needy
