I know it's only a couple of days since I had the other thread closed, but thought I'd better announce (possibly) the smallest Futurama's Fan Art site's return to life at www.sfpp.co.uk

Everything seems to be working OK in PHP, which is a relief for me, located most of the former staff, so we should be back to normal (whatever that is) shortly, with some new features (looks at Håkon :P).

Feel free to submit fan art as I and the site have been through a rough time of late.

The URL contain a period after "uk", which is why the page might turn up "page not found". Just remove the period and everything is hunky-dory.

I'll submit some stuff later, Sean.

Me and several others in the Futurama Community heard from Sean recently with some good and bad news.

[Quoted from e-mail]

Subject: End of the line.

Due to circumstances beyond my control, i.e. no PC  on a friends at the moment, I'm having to call it a day as far as art and SFPP is concerned, since it's unfair on those who have helped to run it for me.   I'll be e-mailing the web admin about closing the site down.

My hand and arm are a lot better and things should be more like old times in a few months apparently, plus I've also struck lucky on the female front, she's called Debbie, so even if I had a PC art time would be limited  :p

Can someone please inform the PEELers, as I cannot remember my password at all.

I'll try and keep in touch, if and when I get a PC, but as far as art goes it's the end of the line.  It was good run while it lasted and I made some new friends into the bargain.

Sean Blendon + Debbie ( :D)

*Expert At Everything - Master Of Nothing*

[End of e-mail quote]

It looks like he's one the mend and struck lucky in the same instance, which is the good news ..  the bad news is the closure of another Futurama Site and the retirement of yet another artist, which will be a shame.

I guess we'll all have to wish Sean and Debbie all the best in their future endeavours and hope he does make a return to the Futurama scene one day.

Sad to hear he's retiring and closing SFPP, but best of luck to him in the future. Both with his hand and his new girlfriend. Hopefully he'll return sometime.
