I'm thinking of closing down SFPP, as I can no longer contribute to my own site for the foreseeable future due to my drawing arm being totally encased in plaster.

Håkon appears to be struggling to keep the site going, and has had ask for assitance at least once, so I think it's only fair on him as well.

I'll let you all know in the next couple of days about my decision, that's when I can next borrow Chris' PC again.

Closing it down permanently or temporarily? Because it's a great site and it'd be a shame for it to close. Your cast isn't going to be on your arm forever is it?

Anyway, see if someone who has the spare time (i don't i'm afraid) can help out.

That's the best new arty site I've seen in a long time, there must be someone you can hand the reins over to.

..."reins"? "reigns"?

Hi Sean, good to see you back online.  smile
I wasn't much online last time. I had big trouble at home (private things)  frown and also have an important homework to do for university.  hmpf
But I can be online long time next week. Then I can use also a better ansd faster computer which will make uploading possible. Then I'll post a lot of fine new art at SFPP.
In the case the site is still online then.
There, hope to hear from you soon.
@Hawk:  Sorry, you had to do much of SFPP-work, but really hadn't much time.
After all I will be also not often online in future. Internet costs a lot if you have a 56kb and the last month was expensive.  frown

Everything good for you all

Sean, it's great to see you're still kicking, and I'd like to offer whatever I can to help keep SFPP alive.  I'm not the greatest web designer, but now that I have taken my disability and retired, at least I have a bunch of extra time that I wouldn't mind contributing to the cause.  Let me know if I can help in any way.  You're in my prayers.

Hello Sean, good to read you. I hope you keep SFPP open till you get rid of that plaster and then you can update the site with your art.

Libraries are great, my local one has just got IE access, it costs money, but is worth it.

My hand is going to need several operations on it, and those can't start for another 3 or 4 months as the doctors still thinks it's too risky to try anything major on it, so no art from me, unless I draw something left-handed, as I'm not ambidextrous that could be some weird art.

I'll keep the site open, I was still upset over the above comments about my hand, as to whether it stays with the current hosts or not is a different matter.

If anyone would like to help, please e-mail me - sean@sfpp.co.uk.  Please send any art to Håkon - haakon@sfpp.co.uk for the time being.  My PC is still ill for the moment, but I can retrieve e-mails on the libraries machine.

Thank you for your concern, I love you all, you kept me going in hospital knowing I had friends on the net, who I may never meet.

OK, I'm managed to secure new hosting for the site, so sometime in the next week or so we'll suffer a bit of downtime, hopefully not too much.  So SFPP will continue, now I've discoved <Hermes>I Got Da Moves</Hermes> still.

Someone close this thread please.  I've fixed the gremlins (hopefully) and am now requesting art submissions from anyone interested in sending them to the site.
