OK, the wait is over and the new look to FSAC is about, please post any comments here, or mail them to Jamie, please, as I'm moving house.

I like it, apart from the red on blue parts, but that's just me. A massive improvement from the last.

Very nice  :) I like it now the menu doesn't follow me down the page when I scroll down.

Yes, very nice, a lot much better than the last layout.

Prob just me who thinks this, but for the design I think normal non-shaded scan-arts would look better. As I said though, Im probably in the minority here.

Since I'm more well known for shaded scan-arts than the normal ones, it seemed logical to use them.  Keep eyes 'PEEL'ed as they may change sometime down the line.

Hey Paul, nice new look. Good luck on your move. I've already arranged for a big house warming party with blackjack and hookers. ;) Anyway, hope all goes well.

good job there. the new interface is a lot easier to browse and loads faster. and it looks good too, although i would've personally preferred some more toned-down colors. but that's just me.

The main aim was to speed the site up, which I managed to do.  Believe it or not, that is a toned down version, from my original first idea.

Looks great, Paul. Much faster, and easier to get to sections. The pull-down menu of the old layout had an annoying tendency to stay open when I browesed FSAC. Good work.

Edit: I just noticed my scanart-site consists of nothing but little red x's. Same problem with Scribbla's.

Oops, Sorry, I'll look into that, got to stop playing with Dreamweaver MX, plus I'm in the middle of moving house and was rushing around like nobody's business over the last two days, while endeavouring to get the latest version released for June 1.

I've only ever seen FSAC in it's 2 most recent versions, but I can easily say that this one beats the previous one hands down. Great work.  :)

the old layout was truly a mess, though i dont like this one too much either.  the other layout looked better, but was just a frigging mess and took years to load.  This one is fast, and not as messy, but the site itself doesnt look that nice.

how to fix this? I dont know.  people seem to like it anyway.

Any creative and worthwhile suggestions for how make it look "nicer" without slowing it down would be welcome.  The original background colour was black, it's now Navy Blue, so it already is nicer  :p

Jon, considering the amount of content and artists FSAC has, the current menu seemed like the best option, instead of trying to create a seperate page for them, and totally re-working the menu structure into another even more bizarre form.

Loose the red, change it either white or a light blue. About the colours, you should try to keep to an "Emotion" such as 'cool/cold' which would be Blue's, Grey's and White. And 'warm' would be, yellow's (not bright) and orange's, maybe the odd bit of red too. If you stick to these most of the time it will look pretty good.

I'll bear that advice in mind, thanks.  Once I've got the house move sorted, I'll play around with the menu headers a bit, see what it looks like.

I'm not a huge fan of shaded pictures... I think normal futurama scans would look better on the main page.

also, replace OAOB with my site, considering your link to that site doesnt even work (and I think OAOB closed down, and if it didnt, does anyne even go there any more?)    :p
