Well, there's a big gap in the Professor Farnsworth websites, tried him? Don't do a generic one, there are too many.

A General one sorry, generic probably wasn't the best word. Try and find something that's not been done. We have Fry sites, Leela sites, Bender sites, CGEF (The big general one) and scan-art sites.

Yea, there seem to be some hosting troubles. When i look at the log files, it basically lets you load say the first half of the page stuff (say the main document and a few pictures), then seems to 403(.9) the rest. I don't know why though.

EDIT: Incase you didn't know a 403.9 is where there are apparently too many users connected. I don't see how there are, but recently there have been alot of requests to get cmd.exe.

Oh, please don't double/triple post on PEEL.

I'm using IIS on WinXP for my site, it allows you to have custom error messages, and it tells you what the error is when you select it.

After "Say Argh!" died, there are no English Zoidberg or Nibbler sites. There is a German Zoidberg site, but it would still be cool to have a new site about either of these two characters. If you want to try it, I wish you the best of luck.  :)

Behold the mysteries of IIS.

The version of IIS bundled with XP Professional (or XP Home ... or 2000 Professional) is *not* a full-featured web server. It's a cut-down version of the IIS that comes with 2000 Server and the major limitation is in (you guessed it) the number of concurrent users allowed access. 403.9 errors abound because XP is designed as a desktop operating system, not a high-availability server. The answer is to use Windows 2000 Server - but if you're not using Active Server Pages then why not uninstall IIS and use Apache? http://httpd.apache.org  for a free download, works with PHP/MySQL if you need database-driven stuff.

Ok, you've all fallen asleep so I'll shut up now.

By the way, hello Peelified people. That was my first post, marks out of 10?

Edit: requests for cmd.exe are caused by the Code Red worm, get hold of the XP Service Pack(s) and the IIS lockdown tool from M$.

Ok futuramaROCKS look at this page. Bender Bending site has giving me creditc with my scans even though I didn't know about it but it's ok. http://usuarios.lycos.es/benderbending/imagenes/cal2003.html

On you site you don't even give creidict to CGEF and other sites. shame on you.

I had no idea how to set the up, i have downloaded it though. I also got the lockdown tool, i still get the requests, but they still get 404ed anyway.

One thing, welcome Fudgerock and what about a new Leela site. No, TheLeelaZone has done extemely well. How about another Amy Wong site. There hasn't been any updates on the Amy Wong site since 31/12/02 so it kinda died!

Well there's nothing wrong with making a General site.  More diversity, versus an entire site based on Zoidberg or Amy.  That's just my opinion, though.
