Ah yes, the site that steals content off of other web pages. Did you ever thank CGEF or There's No Such Thing As Too Much Amy Wong for the majority of your site?

I've sent some stuff to Futurama Rock's website, and It's cool! He also has done a new layout!

Edit: Doing a link straight to the website.

sriously dude I'd think about doing thumbnails, and technically since this is not posting of Fanart or fiction should it not be in the websites thread rather than here.

Wait, you mailed them 9 times and the still didn't reply? Shows how much they want you to use their content...
Oh, the headers on the Characters are stolen, and badly stolen at that (you can't even fill them well?). That and the episode guides are exactly the same.

    Right, actual tips and criticisms:
    • Your site lacks anything worth visiting. The only thing that i saw that was original/not stolen were the Planet Express HQ Blueprints.
    • Use a modem friendly image format. bmp's are large files, a gif or jpg file is just as good and alot smaller
    • That rotating text on the mouse pointer is annoying
    • Not the best UK site

I know that this is a new site and Futurama Rocks (as I do) needs to know more about the  uses of a website. I think you should cut Futurama Rocks some slag!

It's not like i'm against them because they're new, far from it, i'm against them for stealing content and not crediting it and then stealing content even though they are waiting for a reply to tell them if they can/can't!
Proof that i like and support new sites can easily be found with Static's PEEL Page where i even helped to a total re-design and in Sean's Futurama Picture Palace where i have helped Sean in making pages and helped him use SHTML.

Not to make it look like we're jumping on you here, but usually you wait until someone give you permission to use their stuff before you go ahead. If they haven't responded to your emails, that's to be treated as a no. The line "it's better to beg for foregiveness, than to ask for permission" is not valid in any sense.

Actually, that picture have been on TLZ's "Leela's Lair" section for years.

        Okay, some constructive critisism:

        • I agree with aslate, the mouse pointer ring is annoying. I don't like stuff like that.
        • Please use another background picture, or use some solid fields for updates, news, and section areas. It's really annoying to read taxt on that background.
        • Use thumbnails on your fanart pages, and for the love of god, don't use bmp's. They will effectively chase away any 56k modem users, you'll ever hope to get.

Plus, they're murder on your Geoshities account, you'll burn through your alloted bandwidth just like that.

        • Make some original content. Why should people visit your site, if you don't have anything special?
        • General sites about Futurama is everywhere. Make something that make your site stand out. Why not make a Farnsworth character site? Or a Hermes site?  In short, find a niche and be the best at that. I think it'll be more rewarding.

Just my 0.02$. Good luck on the site.  :)

Ok, i wasn't too sure about those, i thought i'd seen them before, but still.

On the last point, The Fry Hole is the only Fry site on the net, after the two (FBI and Fry Online) merged. Before then there were no Fry sites left alive. I don't know of a Farnsworth site, and he's got loads to work on. I mean you could have a whole site on his inventions.

One other big problem with your site, it looks like any other crap fan site. It has a nasty background, bad layout and badly made pictures.
There are two types of Fansite, ones like CGEF, The Fry Hole ect. which look professional. The others are 'fan' sites of those people that use page-builders or basic HTML to make a page that is cobbled together. You see these on google, then never visit them again.

And get even a simple program like infranview, you don't need PSP to create .jpg from a .bmp. Gif transparency abilities are also another great reason to use them. Oh, never use crap animated gifs under any circumstance!

I saw the site I I know where the pictures are from. CGEF. also the Red nose you think you made, it really sucks. you just have somebody's art and stick a red nose on them

Lee's art page take too long to load and you copyed and stole the pics from CGEF on the characters profile

          - Fix up your spelling. I know everyone makes mistakes every once and awhile, but you use "no" instead of "know" twice in one sentence! Sheesh..

          - If you work on your sites design, it will get better.  Learn dremweaver or something similar to that.

          - Get rid of the javascript! Now!

Errr, I'm not going to say anything negative, but here's some advice: learning HTML would help a bunch, and learning how to make framegrabs are extremely helpful as well, especially for making  sweet-ass graphics!  It would help to get PSP7, too, since it's a pretty decent graphic program.  If you can't afford it, there's always cracks you can download from hacker sites.

hello i'm tom from a site called futurama rocks online and my site is sort of interconnected with the matrix so i was wondering wether u could send me those neo-bender, neo-bender 2 special and the neo-bender special animations they would go perfectly on my site and i would be eternally gratefull anyway it's up to u (if u wanted to check out my site it's
            www.geocities.com/futurama_rocks)  Tom
I got two problems with that:

            1. The Neo-Bender is not by us but was given to us. We can't decide on giving
it to others. Sadly, we also don't have contact info to the author anymore.
            2. Your site uses graphics taken from our site:
               http://www.geocities.com/futurama_rocks/leela.gif
               http://www.geocities.com/futurama_rocks/fry.gif
               etc

            mArc

I'll close this thread now as anyone who wants to send you fan art can use email for that.
