please please PLEASE don't use webspawner when you're making a website. Webspawner really sucks.
Use something else, like tripod.co.uk

It's cool that you're making a website, but get some substance.  There weren't any images, just links and words...

Don't bother with an episode guide. CGEF has one, and it's not really going to be beaten. That and when was the last time you looked at an episode guide?

Well, that's just odd, but most Futurama fans aren't in need of an episode guide, and almost every site has one. Try and get something original.

It's not illegal. Well, technically it is. But FOX is too lazy to put them on DVD in the USA, so they owe us.

Well, as the owner of a Futurama website you really have to know which fansites are the best. I only see links to other sites, but all you seem to have is one news page. It's not much of a database.

I have, i've seen them. The problem is i'm very busy, i've got alot of school work, and alot of coursework, so The Fry Hole's updates are very irratic. They'll get put up during the next update, but i'm not guaranteeing when.

And TLZ is hardly a UK site. Okay, Gort is a longtime member of the team, but I believe it's Leandro actually doing the coding.

And it's URL is Leela.com.ar

Ummm... Although Leo does deal with the layout coding and some other stuff that involves CGI, he's not alone in the coding sphere of things here at TLZ. I'm certainly aware of HTML, etc; at least the last time I checked, I was.

Boy, haven't you killed my self-worth.  :D

But, yeah, Leo's from Argentina, Kenneth's from New Zealand, Kristen is from the US, Sebastian is from Poland, while I'm from the UK. So, that makes it 20% UK.

What's the link for your site? I clicked earlier and it didn't work.

Anyway, The Fry Hole is 100% UK based, it's even hosted in the UK. Infact the webmasters are both under 18 too.

First of all decide what your site should be about. So far it's just a few links and some text, not much of a website.

There are plenty of opurtunities: a general Futurama site (like CGEF, but those are common and hard to compete with), a character site (we still need a Farnsworth, Hermes, Cubert, Zapp/Kif site), in short pick a theme and be the best at that is usually better than doing a little of everything.

Make some content, original content. If you ask them politely, existing sites might allow you to use a picture or two, but visitors will only come back if your site contain something they can't see or get elsewhere. Make the content yourself, and the more the better.

Don't announce your site before it works properly (nothing is more annoying than a site consisting only of 404's), and has a adequate interface. It don't have to be superproffesional like CGEF, TLZ, TFP etc, but should at least be easy to use and well-arranged.

Just my 2 cents. Good luck with the site.   :)

I agree with all of Teral's comments, I decided from the start to build a fan-art site around my work.  Then I thought it would be a nice idea to allow works from those who have helped me get going.

At the moment the site is 100% English, although that is likely to change if Little Miss joins.  Also I maybe on the move server and link wise, as I have been given an old unused virtualave account to use.

Why do people link to TLZ, when it has no links to here, mystifies me, when there is TFP, CGEF, FSAC and others that get the same artwork.
