Futurama Collectorama!

Ever thought I'd bring it back online? Actually make an update?  Well I finally have!  New layout, new content, new everything 

Sadly, it's still on tripod.  So there's ad's and junk.  But it isn't that bad.  And once you click the ad's away they don't come back.

By the way, thanks to VF for the idea for the name 'collectorama', and mArc for the nifty forwarding URL.  Keep in mind that slurmman.tripod.com still also works, but I like the doop one more.

Yay, you got it up.

Constructive critisicm time (I cant even spell it):

-I dont personally like the title bar - it might just be me but I feel for one its too busy and also the actual merchandise pics dont work (Im sure many will disagree with me there as it is a merchandise page).

-Maybe have the product spotlight section rotating with random products.

OK - thats it.

Overall its a good site, nice layout and loads of content.

Title bar? where it says "Futurama Collectorama: Section Name here"?  I guess it is kind of busy, but its needed i think.

And whats wrong with what images not loading or something? the actual merchandise pics dont work?

pretty cool-looking site. very clean layout, just how i like it.
but i'ld use a higher cellpadding so the text doesn't begin right when a new table starts. that'ld solve my first impression of "way too much text, dunno where to start" too.

apart from that, very good.

I made the cell pad a little wider, instead of 1 i made it 5.  looks nicer IMO.  thanks for the tip.

Also, made two updates if anyone cares.

I don't really know what to say... I'm beginning to not even want to find another host to host it, cause it will just ditch me like every other fucking host that hosts this site.

Why not just fold it over into CGEF? Since you are involved with CGEF on the merchandise side why not just make the conversion complete. At least you wouldn't have to worry about your host dropping you.
Or at the very least it seems as though you could get webspace from CGEF to use as your own. That way you could still be a seperate entity but still be closely tied to CGEF whic you already are.

While CGEF really will need to boost its merchandise section in future, Jon up to now wanted to keep his own project.
Subhosting isn't an option for the next few weeks/months due to several problems.
Jon's basic problem is that he doesn't want or can't pay hosting. Free hosts tend to die (unless its your ISP).

Well, I guess what they say is true then - you get what you pay for. By now with all the problems he has had you would think he would just scrap the whole free webhosting thing and just succumb to the CGEF machine.

Meh, he updates it.  I think he does a good job of getting out relevant information.  And he hasn't had a chance to look over the S4 DVDs    He won't get an actually set of his own for like a year now either

I haven't talked to bart182 in a long time... so I don't really know.  I didn't even know his site was down.  He moved onto a lot of other things a long time ago, so you might be right... it might be down for good.

Yea, that's the new domain for the website. I'm trying to get it up and running before the new DVD hits shelves, but that isn't going too well.
