I like the "Futurama Collector's Guide", I'm not keen on the rhyme in the other.

collector sector sounds a little similar to the simpsons collector sector, but that doesn't really matter. sector sounds better

The Futurama Collector Sector. It's not too tacky sounding of a rhyme.

If the rhyme is too...you know.., you could rename it the Futurama Collector Zone.

I take what's behind door #1.

Go with collector sector.  I visit the simpsons collector sector every now and then, so I won't forget the URL of your site if it's the Futurama Collector Sector.

I'm actually with Tweek on this, 'Collector Sector' sounds cheap and shoddy.

And FCG is more catchy than TFCS.

Also, 'sector' conveys itself as being part of a bigger thing, and isn't this website independent?

yeah, gort also brought that to my attention a while back.  That its not a sector, but a site.  Though I dunno if it really matters all that much... and 'collector's guide' isnt very catchy IMO.  its a very forgettable name.  But 'Collector sector' is something you'll remember, and like in my own dealings with websites, i remember sites with catchy names more than sites without catchy names.

like theres a simpsons figure site named simpsons action figure information station, who would ever remember that name?  i always refer to that site as "the simpsons figure site" cause i dont even know the name of it.  but then again, there is a simpsons toy site called 'simpsons collector sector' which i make a habit of visiting about once a week.  I dunno, its weird but like a rhyming name seems to stick with you longer and make you like the site more...  cause i like both names, but it seems like collector sector is what will keep the site going longer.  dunno.

If you don't want rhyme, at least go with something memorable. How about Collectorium?  :p I like Collector Sector though, but memorability is the most important thing for hits.

So you stole the idea, eh?  Even more reason not to choose it.

I don't know about other people, but I frequent sites more if they come off as more professional and straight-to-the-meat.  Look at products today, if they're given a rhyming/sing-songish name, not many people go for them, you'll usually see these with generic brands of things.  However, name something with a big, important or professional looking word, and everybody loves it.

Collector Sector sounds really tacky, but would go with the whole faux-retro visual style of Futurama. On the other hand I do not condone plagiarism.

Hmmm. difficult.

yeah, "sector" is like a sector in a space ship or scary lab on futurama...though i see travis's point in a professional name.

its just weird cause I have guide in the logo and sector in the html title (a little mess up i had) and ive been thinking my sites gona be called collector sector for the last few months, when in fact i changed my mind months back to having it "collector's guide", which is why i put it in my logo.  But with that said, collector sector is what was stuck in my mind all those months  :p  not guide, so if i can fool myself into liking my own web site more with a false name, think of all the other people i could fool!

I liked the Collector Sector thing until I read that you stole it from somewhere else. Futurama is already regarded by some as a cheap Simpsons rip-off...we don't need to confirm that by stealing Simpsons website names.

I say you name it "bart182's kewl futurama figure site".
