Creationism is only a bad thing.

On-topic: what is "twitter"?

I know people think that being a Jew would suck, but really it is awesome. 3 presents a night x 8nights = 24 gifts. Short services on the 2 big holidays. Delicious food (matzah-ball soup mmmmmmmm) and Bar Mitzvahs. Not to mention we don't believe in Hell. I'm not trying to offend anyone, but being a Jew is fucking awesome! :D
Yeah, but I get to keep my foreskin.

That is one of the reasons I love "A Clockwork Origin". It was completely balanced, but in the end supported both theories. It was sorta a everybody wins ending, in my opinion.
It really wasn't. I adore 'A Clockwork Origin' to the point that it's probably in my top 3 from season 6, but they clearly hated creationism and the bile and content they had for the theory seeped out quite clearly even though they were obviously trying to be balanced and objective about it all.
Wonderful episode, though. If anything, I like it more for clearly hating creationists than I would have done if it had shown them more respect for their ignorance.

It's a flap of skin that's evolved to help us play golf. When one swings one's arms, the air passing through it creates a noise that alerts any nearby people so that they dodge out of the way of the ball.

For some reason, you started going on about how being a Jew is awesome and I basically stated that no matter how good it might be, I would never value it over the tip of my penis.

Hmm... proclaiming the superiority of one race... making reference to "squinty-eyed asians"... a pattern seems to be emerging.

A Nazi Jew? Their head would need paradox-absorbing crumple zones.

And turnip - do you understand what circumcision is? You described it as removing the tip of the penis.

Solid Gold Bender started proclaiming how amazing it is to be a Jew for some reason.

The rest stemmed from there.

So being a female Jew is paramount to everything else. Okay, I can accept that.

:p

I haven't been on Twitter in over a year. I only get on during this annual music conference that I go to (and am going to in three weeks, oh boy!) Otherwise it just doesn't get me that enthusiastic.

Ooo, look at all the people who contributed to Shiny's page!

[Zoidberg] It must be nice to be popular.

Lol: (re: Shiny and cartoonlover) "They seem to have a bit of a "Dr. Evil and Mini Me" type situation going on, but we have yet to figure out who's who".

I freely admit that I once failed to grok the dynamics of that relationship, too.  But I was eventually given a virtual smack upside the head which straightened out my thinking.  And now I'm slightly less confused :)

Closer to the topic, my Twitter presence is very small, by design, with fewer than 20 followed/followers, and all but one are Peelers.  It's all pretty low-traffic.  FWIW, my Twitter page is in my profile.

Wow I feel kewl, and I personally think it's better having a smaller amount of followers anyways. Part of the reason I deleted all of my social media, I had around 1,200 followers on Instagram and 300 ish on Snapchat of mainly people I loosely knew through school or short meets. It became too much and I started to feel obligated to check in around the interweb everyday.

Mind you I only had Instagram for around 5 months so it wasn't hard to cut it out of the "routine." PEEL however, being a much smaller community with the lot of different characters and personalities always feels refreshing and nice to check in with here and there. (Despite this one lengthy visit :p)

I dunno how I'd cope with that.

However, I used up all the data on my mobile phone towards the start of June & had to wait until the 7th July for it to be topped-up again, so I had to cope with no internet connection whenever I was somewhere without wifi (which happens more often than I realised). I got used to it, to be honest.

I'm not gonna lie I definitely experienced some withdrawal, but after a while you get used to it and I got back into doing some healthier activities.

Don't get me wrong I do love my Netflix binges and time spent on laptop/cellphone.

Honestly social media, or lack of, has its pros and cons. Pros of social media: staying connected, keeping up to date, feeling involved. Cons being: worrying about status, jealousy (wether it be of someone's body or hair or stuff etc), or losing sleep staying up till ungodly hours

I'm sure the list for both goes on, and "quitting" social media could be beneficial or have no effect depending on how much you use it. I haven't completely shunned the idea of it though and am open to creating some lower profile accounts
