I usually just google search for html related things. html is a lot like the ubb code we have on PEEL. Instead of using [b][/b] tags to make words bold you use <b></b>. The brackets are different, and all html code is encapsulated in <> brackets.
You should know how to make links in html <a href="
http://www.peelified.com">This is PEEL</a>, encode images <img src="
http://www.mysite.com/folder/image.jpg> and a basic understanding of tables.
<table> This is a new table.
<tr> //This is a new row
<td> This is a new collumn</td>
<td>Another collumn in the row</td>
</tr> //this ends the row
</table> this ends the table.
If you can get all that basic stuff down, you can make websites very easily. Then it's all about laying out your elements so that it looks good. If you rightclick on a webpage, you can view it's source... I suggest you try that with some simple websites (PEEL is unfortunately not very simple).
Other than that, I'd check out Smarty's link.
