I am making a website all about fry. Any suggestions of what should go on it?
I'll post a link at a later date.

You could do like a factfile of Fry and if so his family and Seymour too, and you could do a gallery of pics fans have sent you to the website.

Hope you listen to my comments!

Einahpet suggested some simple things.  Although I will suggest that you don't focus on fanart.  TLZ already pretty much does that....  I'd like to see sites with lots of original content... more than just pictures.  Some things older sites had were things like icons for your desktop, wallpapers, skins for programs like winamp.  Although these are of varying difficulties to produce.  You might also check out the Fry Hole, which is another site dedicated to Fry, but hasn't been updated in a long while.

Although I suggested not to focus on fanart.... this is going to be your website, and thus you have the right to publish whatever you'd like on it.  I wish you good luck and godspeed no9man v2 with your adventures into webmastering. :)

And you could do about 2000 when fry actually lived.

I would suggest learning html and starting out simple.

You might try looking at the source code of other website.  Smarty's is pretty simple and utilizes html well.

There are also many tutorials on the internets.

I used this one online: www.tizag.com.

It is pretty complete, but there are tons more tutorials online to find.
It also includes a tutorial for CSS, which can come in handy.

I usually just google search for html related things.  html is a lot like the ubb code we have on PEEL.  Instead of using [b][/b] tags to make words bold you use <b></b>.  The brackets are different, and all html code is encapsulated in <> brackets.

You should know how to make links in html <a href="http://www.peelified.com">This is PEEL</a>, encode images <img src="http://www.mysite.com/folder/image.jpg> and a basic understanding of tables.

<table> This is a new table.
<tr> //This is a new row
<td> This is a new collumn</td>
<td>Another collumn in the row</td>
</tr> //this ends the row
</table> this ends the table.

If you can get all that basic stuff down, you can make websites very easily.  Then it's all about laying out your elements so that it looks good.  If you rightclick on a webpage, you can view it's source... I suggest you try that with some simple websites (PEEL is unfortunately not very simple).

Other than that, I'd check out Smarty's link. :)

I was just giving a basic rundown.... images, links, and tables are totally the main supply for creating a website.  If you can master those, you'll be in for a good ride.

I understand:
<html>
<head>
<title>
<body>
CSS
Background Colours/images
Links
Images
Centering
Boldening
Itallicing/emphasising
Enter is never used <br>
<p>

Also whenever I try to upload a file to webs.com it says:
Could not rename ........... because it already exists. What does this mean?

........... stands for a file name.

It sounds like it means that a file with that name already exists.  Try deleting the file that already exists.

<tables> are the shiznit btw. :)

I am surprised this thread hasn't been closed. Guess the mods don't check the other forum sections :laff:
