I joined, and hope you don't take offence to me saying that PEEL is still staying my #1 site  ;)

From Policy Clarification:

"Linking to any site that carries illegal streaming downloads of any show, Futurama or otherwise, will result in immediate banning. This sort of thing is not only illegal, but also hurts Futurama.

If you want to support Futurama, buy the dvds, buy the merchandise, watch it on adult swim. Do not support these sites and most certainly do not link them here. You think the anti-piracy monkeys at Fox don't have their eyes on the largest Futurama message board? If you want C&D orders, do it somewhere else.

End of discussion."

From Rules of the Road:

"No d0wnl0adz questions. I can't stress this enough."

Thank you and goodbye.

Interesting.. myfreeforum.org policy states that you are not allowed to (I quote)

Allow the posting of links to sites where material can be illegally downloaded

The whole thing here.

Also, didn't we already have a 3 pages long discussion about that whole thing. I am fairly sure we already did!

Also I see that you are still using the copy and pasted TransScripts, even though you made them registered users only.

Well that's okay then because you don't DOWNLOAD. Also the site states that it is not illegal for me.

Wow! Do you honest to god believe a hairsplitting technicality like that would get you off the hook? Because then you're more naive than I give you credit for.

And you are downloading, you can't even watch a movie/episode/clip without downloading it through your connection to your PC. Streaming downloads just doesn't leave a readily identifiable file on your harddrive, but a coded file in your "Temporary Internet Files"-folder.

Face it, by providing your members with access to copyrighted materiel you're not only breaking the rules of MyFreeForum, you're breaking the law and making yourself liable to all kinds of lawsuits, not just C&D letters.

Because their servers and owners are located in countries with a different view on intellectual property rights (countries like Russia or China), where such things are tolerated if not outright legal.

You on the other hand are a British citizen (according to your profile), and under British law. Breach of intellectual property rights is a serious offence in most Western countries.

Keep in mind these webistes make money out of this, so don't trust them when they tell you this is perfectly legal "bacause you don't download anything". It's in their interest to con you into helping them boost their traffic, more traffic mean more revenue for them.

You forgot to mention 75% of those members never made a single post, sugesting they just joined to watch the episodes. Less than 10% of your members made more than 20 posts.
