Hey all  :)

Graham posting lovely new DVD framegrabs recently has made me wonder... should I in fact get around to revamping my old Futurama guides... correcting mistakes, making them cleaner and even getting a little more info on some of them too? Opinions?

Yeah, that'd be cool. I'd thought about fixing up my guides, maybe making an introduction, but then I became so damn lazy, it just ain't guana happen.

You should. As awesome & informative as your guides are, some of the text & re-sized pictures just look so pixelated, as if they're done in paint or something. You should do them a little bigger when making them, then re-size them down to the proper size in Photoshop to give them a more professional look.

Plus, considering there's an audio commentary available for each episode now, we've learned quite a bit more info you could use. I say go for it!

Well, the first guide is now completed. Click away to see the "Space Pilot 3000" page, now in crystal-clear PNG format with DVD framegrabs and even more info than before, as well as fixed mistakes. Enjoy!

Ooh...so crisp and fresh. My one complaint is that the text looks a tad smooshed. Otherwise, it's a vast improvement.

(By the way, where did you put the joke guide for Leela's Homeworld?)

I've got it somewhere still, though I don't think it's anywhere online any more.

Nice work, although the text still looks a little cramped. By the looks of it, you appear to be using Arial font, which is fine - although looks kinda bad when used in such a small size like this. I'd suggest either finding a different (but similar) font, making the text itself bigger then re-sizing it to the size it needs to be so it can fit in, or using anti-aliasing.

Other than that little annoyance, nice work - it looks terrific.

Okay, since I'm being a real perfectionist about these new ones, I've decided to change the font for you guys and see if it's an improvement. Try the line again now and see the updated version in Tahoma instead of Arial. This actually shrunk it a little more too, allowing me to add an extra fact in the "Stuff You May Have Missed" section even.

So, yeah... refresh your browers or heading there again now and tell me if you think it's a better option. Thanks  :)

It looks better than before, but I still think you should use an Anti-Alias on the text. That'll give it a much smoother look. Without it, it's really hard to get text looking really good when it's so small.

Okay, I've fixed the text as much as I can without losing text or making it to small to even be read. I hope this is acceptable... it's improved, but there's the odd words here and there that are still a bit squished, but it's the best I can do I think. So, refresh and see how that is. I also fixed the page number error of 13 not being centred.
