PR and some other sites have been down due to server problems since October 2nd. Is PR going to come back or have the webmasters thrown in the towel?

I think it's time to throw in the towel on PR. After - what? - 2+ years in the Futurama links business, it's time to do something different. Sorry guys.

i will leave PR there for some weeks. I guess Jason wants to post a good bye news entry soon and people should see that...

sad to see the last big linker go down...

I think GNE is gone too.

I emailed Pete and asked if GNE was down for the count, or just retooling. He answered:

   Don't worry. I am making a Futurama site similar to roadmap. I have a domain name, and good designing skills. So look for that soon.

it wasn't meant that seriously. If I had thought it was real spam, I wouldn't have posted it. Anyway, as of the moment, there is no other page with news about the web. Anders from planetexpress.dk will set up a site review page soon he hopes, and CGEF is going to cooperate with him.
The problem with webnews is ... there are hardly more than 10 futurama pages which update regularly at the moment and near to no new. Doesn't make it easier to have actual news about them...

Yeah, I get what you're saying. This long wait for the premeire of Futurama seems to be hitting hard on the fans also.

Well whoever is making a new links page can get the stuff off of PR, right?  I think Jason said it was up for grabs in his goodbye notice.  I think after Futurama starts up again then people will come back to the sites, and maybe some newbies will start their own (those wouldn't last).  I can't wait till the season premeire.  Hmm Jason.

   I lied (well no, changed my mind), I'm simply having a general futurama site with a top 10 list and a list of all the Futurama links. Look for that to open later this week or next week.
