To be honest the show is funny enough, bloopers would just break down the 4th wall with little in the way of a good result.

Recording your voice over the characters worked well on the Shrek DVD, but I'm not sure it would work so well on Futurama.

With only 33 days till the release i'm assuming there will be no extras added? Why did they ask for a wish list to begin with? Especially this close to the release?

Futufan made it clear the list was for consideration in inclusion in any future DVD re-releases of Futurama, my guess being for example 4 themed episodes on a disc, the type The Simpsons have been doing on VHS for years.

With only 4 seasons they're planning on doing rereleases? That's kinda pointless.

Haven't the Simpsons had themed videos of episodes from just early seasons? Not sure if it's as low as just from first 4, but some of them must be close.

Mirroring Teral's 'Hmmmmmmmmm'

Interesting.

Though still a baseless rumour, the thought of a DVD devoted to post-cancelation episodes makes me happy. Perhaps, this is what Futufan's proposed features list shall go towards...

EDIT:
But then we get this.../

Time to blacklist Moviehole, methinks...

I followed the same path as you, SJM. Well that was 30 seconds of raised hopes. I never believed that there were unfinished scripts, animatics anyway. Still, are you around futufan? Got anything to add to this whole thing?

The creators had stated before that they hadn't done any work on a fifth season, aside from some general ideas.  Fox didn't ask or pay for more episodes, so they couldn't have started any.

Maybe I'm a jerk, but I'd really like to see some table read visuals.  I've tried to watch/listen to the audio-only versions, but I find them just lacking.

Then in that case, I'm a jerk too. My attention span is too short to be only satisfied with audio, and I get distracted by other things when I try to sit through it, like our lovely cream coloured wallpaper, or the white socks I'm wearing.

I think I'd like to see more features about the 3D modeling on the show. Several of the existing extras show 3d models of the characters on the show, but we never get to see these up close. Maybe more about chatacter modeling would be nice.

I usually end up pacing the room while I listen to the table reads (which is hard to do, considering I usually wear headphones when I am watching Futurama).  I think it would be better if they ran still shots of the episode corresponding with the part of the script they are at in the read. It would at least give you something to look at.  That, and they should really put a better mike on DXC. Or he should speak up.

Yes, I'm still around, but no, unfortunately there's nothing new to add at this point.

Bloopers would be cool hearing them stuff up and all and I want to see some interviews. Now that will never happen... unless the make season 5!

Entire commentaries done by the voice actors, in character. That would be great. (And at least one commentary by Katey Sagal, in a big episode, like 'The Sting' or 'The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings'.)

Oooh! Animated Table reads! Not of the characters, but of the actors/writers.

No I wouldn't go to that extreme, Winna. But I would've liked to heard Katey Segal in a Commentary like they said up the top of the page.
