Well, they come out every 3 months, so I'd assume in June/July-ish sometime.

Actually, they come out every two months in Australia now. The ad for #16 said starting with #17 they were going bi-monthly, but I noticed #16 was only two months after #15, so they've been bimonthly for about six months. Cant wait for #19 though. I got the Futurama Comics #1/#2 Collector's Edition with the original yellow cover (from the San Diego 2000 comic convention). I also got the three issue pack, but I got #3, #7 and Part 2 of the first crossover.

#16 -- December
#17 -- February
#18 -- April
#19 -- Late May/Early June

So, Beamer, yep, you missed an issue. Remember they're bimonthly here now for next issue...when you get #19 there's an order form where you can order #18 if you want to.

Wouldn't be the first time I've back-ordered issues, I didn't even learn about the comics until #5, so I had to get the first four that way. Still, damnit!

I've seen the second part of the first crossover advertised. And I've seen it on sale just last week. Your newsagent probably hasn't got it in yet and has ordered in back issues of the second part of the second crossover. Just because your newsagent or whatever has the wrong issues doesn't mean they've stuffed up. They have actually released the right issue.

Yeah, it was. I also quite liked "But I was promised a love scene with Leela!". The only little thing that bugged me was on page 17, Lrrr's cape was missing.

Sorry for bumping, but just thought I'd let you guys know what in the lastest issue of Simpsons Classics there's an ad which reveals the second of the digest sized Futurama collector's editions (which has issues #3 and #4 in it) is out very soon.

I went into the newsagents earlier this week and found they have those 3-comic packs again, except instead of just 3 Futurama Comics it has a Simpsons Comic, a Radioactive Man Comic, and a Futurama Comic. I read both the Futurama and Simpsons ones, but for those who gave up on Simpsons Comics long ago and have been searching for an issue they find in one of those packs, it's a bit pointless paying $12 for one comic you'll read and two you'll probably throw out...

Yeah, it is.

Can;t wait until Futurama #21...just another month to go!

EDIT: Got the new Futurama collector's edition. I'm glad they're trying to keep the same style going with the back cover art, which on this edition is the art from the cover of issue #4, with all the "Futurama" logos and writing taken off it.

I finally got it today, the art (by John Delaney) was very nice. His best yet.

The story...well. It was the usual "alien invasion"-type story we've seen before...but with a bit of a twist (with Fry's teeth and all). 5/5

I liked it...but something seemed missing. For some reason, to me, issues #17 to the newest ones seem as if they were made by a totally different company compared to the first 16 issues. Ever since the start of The Time Bender Trilogy, something hasn't really been right with the comics. I have US #26, and in the next few months I'll get the Australian #22-#25 issues when they come out, but judging by issues #17-#21, and #26, this trend will continue through the issues I still don't have.

I mean, the art and writing is still great, but it's just the way it actually IS written that seems to put me off. I love the first 16 issues, so I really want to know what has happened with the Bongo crew with these last few ones.

Exactly.
I find on some page's, the comic doesn't flow  :hmpf:. I'm not sure if it's just me, though.

Btw, I found a mistake. On page 7, the bottom strip has the prof's lab coat coloured in half green and half white.

Yeah, and during the fighting scene at the end, there's a page where a panel at the bottom of the page shows Bender's hand is coloured brown instead of grey.

Also, in the US at the moment, all Bongo comics have ads from bigger companies randomly spliced into the stories, much like there were ads spliced through the story in this issue. The only thing is, this issue was made BEFORE Bongo started putting random ads in it, so it really took away from the flow as well.

Leela looked pretty cute with her hair down though  ;)

Well, I don't actually know if it's been released to bookstores by HarperPerennial in Australia yet, but I picked up the Bongo Comics edition of the new Futurama: The Time Bender Trilogy from Quality Comics in the middle of Perth. Even if you have the individual issues (like I do), it seems to flow better when it's actualy all together in the same book, rather than having to swap issues to keep reading on with the story, and also it's easier to carry just one book around than four separate issues. Overall it's really nicely printed. They've basically taken all the titles (eg: "Kickin' It Old School", "Time Bender Trilogy Part 1", etc) as well as the splash credits ("writer, pencils, inks" etc) off the first page and left just the art and speech bubbles, so you don't get distracted by seeing the story titles randomly placed throughout of every story, and just included the credits for each part of the trilogy in the table of contents. And at the back there's a gallery of the original art for the covers.

I liked the shippy bit in this issue though. Haven't really seen any romance that I can recall in the comics up til this one.
