If he wasn't, he wouldn't be in an Aussie topic.  :p

Just check someone's profile if you want to know these things... they usually say everything you need to know. Anyway, welcome to PEEL!

Just a little bump to let everyone know that Issue #12 is now out. Get it, before I put my penis in your ear!

#19 came out in September (at comicbook shops) and #20 is just about around the corner.

They have at least 3 comic stores here in Sydney. One of which I work for and sells them at $6.60 each. (Linked in the profile)

Yeah, but those are U.S. imports. I'm talking about the Australian ones in newsagencies.

Whoa, quite a few West siders here  ;) I'm also from Perth. I thought I was the only one in Perth who is a fan of Futurama. BTW Anyone know where to get Futurama back issues from in Australia, my local comic bookstore is out??

I buy mine from Comics R us and if I miss the American editions I have to wait 3 years for the god damb newsagency to stock it. I'm missing #15 and #16 and they should be finally released this year. But sadly I missed #20 so that another blasted 3 years.

When I bought #5 (the first issue I got), I used the order form in the back of the comic and mail-ordered the first 4. Took about 8 weeks for them to arrive, but they were all in top-quality condition.  :)

Did you order them directly off Bongo?? And how much did you pay for shipping? I was thinking about ordering off US based comic stores, but was kinda put off at the price of shipping.

Yeah, I did... can't remember how much it costed, I think shipping is included in the order price for the comics, as they are a bit more expensive than in stores. I can't check it right now, but if you have an issue of Futurama Comics, there'll be an order form in the back - prices should be listed there in small print at the bottom.

Hey, are there any differences between the US and Australian editions of Futurama apart from the publication codes?

I live on the south side of Coffs Harbour in a place called Macksville, in NSW (in Australia, DUH) and I am really disappointed and angry at my local newsagency, because apart from the Donald Duck comics, they hardly ever stock The Simpsons and Futurama comics and if I do get them they are very old comics.

They usually come out every 3 months. So, #16 will be out January 2006, #17 will be out April 2006, etc.

I should be picking up a copy of #15 next week.  :)

Yes finally I missed that in 2003 at the comic shop and had to suffer the consequences of such a wait. I've also now missed #16, #20 and #21 maybe even #22 soon.

Picked up mine as well  ;)
BTW, I was so confused when I went into my newsagents, cause they also had issue #10?? I was expecting to pickup 15, and was surprised to see #10 still there. Anyone else notice this with their newsagents or ones they've been to?

There are 2 series of issues being released - the new ones, and older issues, so new people to the series can pick them up too. I remember seeing Issue #4 late last year.

Anyway, I got #15 a couple of days ago, good issue. Not as good as #4 or #11, but still, definitely one of the better ones.  :)

The Futurama comics now have the same left hand side panel thing like the UK ones do. I don't like them. Thank God I got the American versions. Knowing my luck, They'll probably start doing it too...

The aussies have to handle the Bart Simpson comics as a small miniture booklet with a side panel on the cover. Our fuckin reprints are small aswell. I have tiny copies of all the paperbacks up to Wing dings. Except for the first one because I got a "collectors" pack years ago which contained the first issues 1-10 except missing 8 and 5 because 5 is a crossover.

I like the small sized Bart Simpson ones mainly because they come with a free Radioactive Man comic in it, which to buy separately, you have to pay for it.

Ooh, that's exactly what I do! The Bart Simpson comics are really quite rubbish, but RM is great! It's a strange combination though, because some of the humour in RM is rather 'mature' for a Bongo release, whereas the BS comics have a lower target audience than even the regular Simpsons Comics (as a 17-year-old I feel quite embarassed buying them, but for the 'free' RM comics, it's worth it  :)).

And yet you only registed in September 2005... right.

Why not subscribe to Futurama Comics, then? Someone here could scan and mail you the form, you could fill it in and send it off to Bongo, easy as piss.
