No. The quality wouldn't be as good. Also you would miss out on all the Special Features and the commentaries on the episodes which are great.

Probably not.  I wouldn't buy the VHS of anything I'd already taped off the TV.  I brought the DVDs mainly for the hike in picture and sound quality.

Good point from Levitate_Me about the episode commentaries too.

I would, because I'm a fan. But luckily we don't have to, thank god for DVD!  :D

I wouldn't either since if I wanted to watch them on tape, I would learn to program my VCR to tape it on Cartoon Network.

I have a split VHS/DVD player, but I still wouldn't buy it on VHS. It's easier to just watch it on TV.

Speaking of picture quality, for some reason the colors are a lot darker on the DVDs than when it's on Cartoon Network. Maybe it's just me.

I bought series one on VHS as I didn't have a DVD player then, and my Betamax is broken   :p Since getting a DVD player I don't think I'd bother getting anything on tape, unless it was VERY cheap.

It's all ABOUT the extras. If we were just getting the episodes, why bother when they're on Cartoon Network every night?

I would only get them on VHS if they were very, very cheap. Most of the watching of DVDs that I do is on my computer, so VHS wouldn't help me there. Plus the whole special features thing.

Yes, I would buy Futurama on VHS, but only those that weren't aired here (I taped all those that were aired). I'd pay even full price, because otherwise I wouln't have chance to see those episodes at all.

I agree 100%.  If the extras aren't there I might as well just tape them off of CN.  I had most of them on tape from chasing them around the various times FOX showed them.  DVD gives you the extras and the relative longevity of the format.  I don't have to worry about wearing out my DVDs.  I can't see paying the same money for VHS.

Yeah, the extras make all the difference. Since Tv2Zulu never bothered to show all 4 seasons (thank you Zulu, thank you straight to hell), I might've been tempted to buy the VHS-version for season 3 and 4, but not 1 and 2. Then again MPEG is almost as good as VHS...

Not for the same price. I might pay up to $50AUD for the VHS sets, but I don't know if I'd bother.

I'd buy, because I'm a fan, but without extras like the commentaries I definitely wouldn't pay as much.

I wouldn't, it would be so inconvenient, what with having to fast forward and rewind to the episode you want to see. Also, you wouldn't get those great extras like the commentaries and deleted scenes. I can just record them from CN.

Actually the deleted scenes are on the VHS editions.

i wouldnt either unless it was cheap, the commentaries are a great part of the dvd, and just being able to watch any episode whenever you want reigns over waiting until its on.

Yeah, I'm with AquaSka. I dont think i would buy it unless it was cheaper. ALOT CHEAPER. I wouldnt want to pay $40+ for a VHS copies that didnt have deleted scenes, commentaries and other bonuses.

I've stopped buying vhs altogether.  DVD'S are the way to go now.

Also Futurama wouldn't be worth as much on vhs, its always cheaper than dvd.
