Continuation.  The story doesn't conclude until issue #19.

Well, I read it.  It had some good gags, but there wasn't too much of a story, though of course it's actually the first of three parts.  Still, I guess you could call it a 'fun romp.'  The "keep your pants on" and "religious school" jokes were probably the best in the issue.  But I thought Fry acted a bit too stupid, and someone should have caught the reference to "Omicrom" Persei.

As I've said before, sometimes comic shops let you have subscriptions, meaning they'll keep an issue for you even if they sell out otherwise.  And they might actually order more copies if they know you're going to buy it.  Of course, none of that matters for this issue, but you can subscribe now for the July issue.

I live near a Borders and there are still copies of Issue #16, lots of them. It makes me sad, yet happy at the same time because I can always be sure I will get one.

I think that means that issue 17 is out, yes.

As for pictures, there should be a cover around somewhere, though to find a letters page someone would have had to scan in the comic, and that's bad.

I picked up #17 today and read on the train coming home from a stressful day in London. It cheered me up, although I had to try and keep a straight face whilst reading it as I got some funny looks from other passengers (a who cares, I'll never see them again).
Basically this is a really good issue. The script is sharp, and laugh-out-loud (or snigger quietly because people keep staring) funny! I won't go into too much detail, but it's all good stuff. There's just ONE problem with this issue. And it's a problem that has almost ruined other issues such as #7,#9,#12, and #15. Yes, it's the artwork of John F***ing-how-the-hell-did-I-ever get-a-job-with-Bongo-because-I-can't-draw-the- characters-on-model-and-I-smell Delaney! Hoooooooow I despise him! His drawing really isn't good enought to be used in a comic as intelligent, funny, and inventive as Futurama!

Well, it's not too bad. Atleast not as bad as it sometimes is, but when you compare it to the flawless artwork of James Lloyd in the previous issue 16, it's just.....not good enough! Although there are a few nice panels scattered throughout the comic (Leela looks incredibly cute in the bottom panel of page 19!). But them marvel at the slopiness of the bottom panel of page 13!

Apart from that small problem, this is a really good issue.

I got it yesterday, plenty of them too... For those interested, the cover has Fry, Leela and Bender with a shadow over them, Fry and Leela look scared, and Bender is changing the sign for Earth's population number. The shadow is Lrr's, because his face can be seen reflected in the sign post. Not the greatest cover, but nice idea...

I will have to do a double check on my local comic book store as they did not have any on Wednesday which pretty much bummed me out.
Did James Lloyd do the artwork? Wasn't there some questions as to who wrote the story as well? Early blurbs on this said it was Patric Verrone.

It's by Ian Boothby and John Delaney.  I think Verrone is suppose to write the next one.

I might subscribe. They don't sell the comics where I live so I have to order them out of the comics, the trouble with that is that you don't get evry single comic.

Did you try Forbidden Planet?  I know some places like that get American comics right when they come out, but I'm not sure if any do mail order.

Yes I got it too today, and I live in the UK. I don't order online, I'm lucky to have an American Comicbook store nearby me. There is one up Barking I do believe and they do have Forbitten Planet in London... they should have them there.
[EDIT] Oh, and #18 is out in July so we don't have to wait long for the next one. i do believe that #19 is due for September also.  :D  ;)

The cover is correct. There is Fry, Leela and Cubert. Robuts aren't people. In the words of Bender himself, they are things.

I just got the issue. I didn't like the drawings very much, I was hoping James Loyd would draw this one as well as the previous one.
