Anyone know where I can get the Futurama Seasons 3& 4 sets for a better price than on Amazon UK? I have the cash now and have no patience to wait till they come to the US.

Actually amazon.co.uk have quite good prices on these... S3 is 45% off and S4 35% off SRP.

Try dvdpricesearch.co.uk to find out whether they come any cheaper someplace else.

Yeah, but with the weak US$ that's about as cheap as it gets right now. You can also pay $60 at blackstar if you prefer.  ;)

Also amazon are better for box sets since they charge shipping costs on a per-item basis rather than a per-disc basis.

Also, in the UK our currency is the £ (pound), not dollar  :)

And yes, Amazon.co.uk really are a pretty good deal. But Season 3 is about to come out in the US, and will have new content not on the Region 2 release, so personally I would wait.

Well, let's cut our Usonian friends some slack.  ;)

Another thing to consider is customs... I dunno how this is handled in the US, but 2 seasons of Futurama make a sizeable package that may draw attention. Single discs usually fly under custom's radar, but you may be in for an extra bill for import tax/VAT with 8 of them...  :(

Amazon will split the packages when they get to a certain size, when I ordered all 3 family guy seasons and both Bill and Ted movies from them, I never had to pay any customs and other duties on them at all and came in 3 different packages

when setting up your billing address (after you order something) just fill the address in correctly, the people at amazon arent stupid, they will mail it correctly

I didn't know that the US region DVD had more features...I cross-checked Amazons, they seem the same. Anyway, the only problem with ordering in Pounds is that the current exchange rate is huge...I blame the Euro and Bush, personally. Thanks to all of you, for the advice  :)

Blame Bush for everything, I do and I don't even live in the States.

The Season 3 Region 1 DVD will have newly recorded dialogue on the menus, much like is on the Region 2 Season 4 DVDs, except we didn't get dialogue on Season 3. That counts as a new (but small) feature  :)

Actually if you have ordered from any other amazon site before, you can just login as usual. Their customer accounts are valid for all sites, and they should recognize an American address automatically.

OTOH you might wanna create a new account at amazon.co.uk so you can grab their first-time customer coupon.  ;)

Amazon are usually pretty good at shipping stuff out to you BEFORE the date it comes out so you get in the mail on that day. You shouldn't have to wait more than a couple of days after release anyway.

Check your order status nearer the time to see if they're shipped it yet.

Schauker, I was actually thinking of selling my Region 2 Futurama DVD sets once Season 3 comes out here. I was thinking I would sell them for $30+shipping for both seasons together.

Let me know if you are interested. I can set up an Ebay auction and send you the link.

P.S. I live in the US too, so shipping should be minimal.
