<Zoidburg> Hooray! <Zoidburg>

Yes, it is now possible to get the S4 box sets in Australia without ordering them online!!! Ordered mine form sanity and got it on the 18th. Good news? It's out! It's good! (except when it isn't). Bad news? No glow in the dark covers.

Oh, and chanel seven has put Futurama back on at an ungodly hour, and will hopefully run all eight remaining episodes. Good for them.

In any case... Buyit Buyit buyit buyit buyit... buyit buyit buyit

No glow in the dark covers? Man, that really kinda sucks.

Not really. I don't like stupid things like that. I shall buy it when I muster up the funds.

In other Australian Futurama news, EzyDVD has seasons 1-3 for only AU$39.95! Season 4 there is $89.95 though. I'd try JB Hifi.

Yes, the glow in the dark thing was a gimmick. Still sad that we have to wait longer, for less (however much less it might be). Especially since the North American (region 1?) Season three sets will actually have a bit more content than the European and Oceania sets (in the form of improved menus). Oh well, I suppose they deserve some consolation for being the last ones to recieve them. (Ha!)

Anyone know what HMV are charging? I'd normally go to JB, but I have an HMV voucher, and I presume it's not $25 more expensive there.

I went to JB-HiFi yesterday and saw season 1, 2 and 3 there for $35 each!!! The season 4 set was 75. Defintely worth buying if you don't have the set. So sad about the glow in the dark covers  :(

Yeh I saw the first three seasons for $35 each. No reason not to have them now. I also went to have a look at season 4, but it is $75 too expensive for me and my no money.

I bought Season 4 from JB! Yaaay! While I was there I bought Season 1 and Season 2 for $35 each (I already have Season 3) - come on, they've never been so cheap before! And after the last time they were on sale (just before Christmas) they got put up again to $80. So I bought all three at once, and now I'm almost broke, but it was completely worth it! So I've now seen: KGKUAN, LH, L&R, LTH, ATOF, BSNBAOT and JB. And tonight I'm watching more!

At Big W this weekend, I saw Seasons 1,2 abd 3 for $34.70. Makes me semi sad to think how much money I've spent aquiring the whole collection over the Christmas break. Oh, well, at least I'm well adversed in Futurama lore now.

I bought mine at Dick Smith Power House at Macquarie Center in Sydney for $72.48. I went to Big W first, but they were sold out. Lucky too because they were more expensive then Dick Smith.

It seems like every electronic & video-store has Futurama DVD-sets on sale for under $50. Though, most big retailers (K-Mart, Big W etc) still have them at their original prices. Good time to stock up if you dont have Seasons 1-3 yet.

Season 4 DVD-Set @ Sanity Music Store: $82.83.

I bought it last Wednesday for 84.95$ at Sanity, definatly considering buying the other season DVD's at their new low prices.

I have had my S4 dvd set for 2 weeks now and have watched them a few times and frankly I am dissapointed. I had not actually seen most of the episodes due to Ch 7 playing them at ungodly hours so I was looking forward to it.
S4 has the highest ration of crap to good out of all seasons. They seem to spend too much time trying to be cute and cuddly. Which is not neccesarily a bad thing but they forgot the jokes. I think I only laughed out loud a few times. The commentaries were pretty ordinary as well. Once again David Cohen seems to go out of his way to talk all over anyone saying something amusing or interesting, just to explain in painful detail some scientific factoid as though he is only one who has ever heard of it. I am not happy it cancelled but I can see why, the makers forgot they were writing a comedy.

That random poppler speaks what I feel! Season 4 was just not good.

Also, welcome to PEEL.

My Season 3 DVD set had been fucking up lately, so I returned it to Big W (after months of them trying to order me a new copy and then finally telling me I had to wait until next Christmas) and got my $75 back for it. Then I went over to EzyDVD and bought it for $35 - Giving me an extra $30! Hurrah for Big W's crappiness!

I can't believe I didn't think of that! I've had a couple of minor (so far) problems with my season 3 DVDs, with some skipping and whatnot, which means I could probably get my money back (I paid about $70-something) from JB, yes? And then buy a replacement from one of the stores selling them cheaply, yes? Yes? Hooray!

I haven't seen all the season 4 episodes yet, and while some of them are good, I basically agree with everything you just said. I saw Love and Rocket last week on Adult Swim, and I didn't think it was very good. And the final episode SUCKED.

NO WAY!!

Season 4 was excellent! With great episodes like "the sting" and "kif gets knocked up a knotch" how can you go wrong?!

If humour is all you're after than there is a lower quotient of utterly hilarious eps is S4. There are enough laugh-fest to make it worth your while though (as far as I'm concerned, anyway).
You hate the last one?
