On Amazon there seem to be two Futurama collections for sale. But i am confused as to whether they are the same one or not.

Look on Amazon.co.uk and they sell a version with a laminated green cover and another with the crew with rocketpacks. I was wondering if they were the same one.

Are you talking about this and this? Because those are collections for the Futurama comic books. I have no idea what the difference between them is.

If that's not what you mean, give us some actual links so we can figure out what you're on about.

I think they are the same, but one was added for a third party sale (or whatever amazon calls it). I am fairly sure there is only one release of the collection (unless one is a US release, but since the UK version is the US version of the comics anyway I can't see why they would be different).

Buy the one with the crew in rockets. That's the Titan Books edition which I have, and which was talked about on the net.

Apart from anything else, the cover of the other book is just the cover from Issue 1, whereas the crew in rockets is an original piece of artwork!

The red cover is from Issue #1, and is one of the four Comics from inside the green one. Amazon either screwed up, or likes screwing up people.

neither, otis.

bongo comics released one, and the UK version of bongo comics released the other.  same exact thing happens with simpson reprints.

theyre the exact same books, nothings differen,t aside from the cover.  id go for the original cover, not the re-cover of issue 1.

also, EspanolBot, try to make more sense next time  :p

I never knew that, seems kinda pointless though...

I take it the original cover is the green one... wait a minute, but the red one was the original cover because it originally came out on Issue #1... but hold on a minute, as a trade paperback didn't the green one come out in America first, before the red one when it was released in the UK?... aaah, wait a sec, so that mean's the green one is the original?... not necessarily... because to re-cover Issue #1, that would a mean new cover, so that would then mean it's not the original cover... so the new cover isn't the original cover, but the re-cover is Issue #1?... but how can it be re-covered with Issue #1, when that's the original cover... unless you mean re-covering it as a trade paperback?... but you said you wouldn't go for that one and you'd go for the original cover... but that was the original cover... according to logic it is anyway... unless you meant something I said earlier in this post... Hmmmm...

 http://collectorama.murderhorn.com/issue1.shtml

the orange cover was the "special limited edition" comic con cover.  the red one was the one released about 4 months later for the public.

the germany version of bongo released both, at the same time, it seems.

the UK version of bongo released the red cover.

And, for the paper back, the US version is a completely original piece of cover art not released anywhere else.

maybe the Uk version of bongo doesnt have copy-rights to the US version.

Wooooooooooo!!! Hooooooooooo!! This is the best Futurama news I've had in a very long time.

Also, the next book has 5 issues in it? This is great, since I was only expecting 4!

Yeah, I was only expecting four Issues too, but I guess they put an extra Issue in, to make up for the long wait  ;)

Also, am I right in thinking that issues 7, 8 and 9 are "What If?" Stories? If so, maybe they decided to keep them all in one trade paperback, so extended it to 5 issues.

Just shows how much of a pathetically sad fan I am, I'd been worried a while ago that the next book would only have two of the three What Ifs. Glad to see someone at Bongo thought of us pathetically sad fans  :)
