futurama chess set

thinking of using the metal figures for a chess set I thought bender as king but maybe fry as king and leela as queen rook as proff? bender as knight? zoidberg as castle? but who would be pawn hermes or nibbler?

I thought about this too, and I thought they should have:
Fry-King
Leela-Queen
Pawn-Nibbler
Rook-Zoidberg
Bender-Knight
Proffesor-Bishop

The pawns shouldn't all just be Nibbler, they should be an entire race or Nibblonions!

It will probably cost me a little over a hundred bucks or so for the figures if I find a deal on them on ebay you know how that goes sometimes.Anyone know of a place to buy them at a reasonable price?

Man, if you are going to talk about a Futurama chess set the possibilities are endless. You could do a whole robut set with Bender as one king and Hedonism-bot (or even Flexo) or the Robot Devil as the other. For the queens you could use the Crushinator and Angelyne. Don-bot, Joey Mousepad, Clamps and Roberto could all be used as rooks and knights. For pawns Tinny Tim is a given as one side but I am not sure about the other. Perhaps 1-A?
For a more traditional set as one set of king and queen you could have Fry and Leela, Zoidberg as the bishop and Cubert as the pawn. For the other side you could have Farnsworth and Mom as King and Queen, Hermes as a bishop and Dwight as the pawns. LaBarbara and Amy could be utilized as knights on opposite sides of the board and perhaps L'rrr and Morbo as the rooks.
Man, there are some really wild combinations and some cool characters that could be integrated into a chess set that they could release multiple versions of it.
If only I were rich... and owned a chess making factory... oh, and also a robut.
