Hi everyone
I recently bought this off EBay and had some questions about it and other Futurama posters:

The poster is signed by Matt Groening and I think it's fantastic. Easily my favourite piece of Futurama merchandise that I own.

This poster is for Episode 4: Love's Labours Lost in Space, but I am wondering if similar posters were made for other episodes? It would be very cool if there were...

Yes, there were posters made of other episodes.
One of which is for "Space Pilot 3000":

I have this poster myself, and it hangs proudly in my room.   :)
That poster you have of episode 4 is a great find, by the way.

I've never seen that poster before, it looks great. How much did you pay for it, and roughly how big is it?

And Atticus, I also have the SP3K poster  :)

Hi Atticus, thanks.

Yeah, I know that the SP3K poster was made. I have that one as well; sorry I failed to mention that in my above post.

Personally, I would love a "Fry and the Slurm Factory" or "When Alies Attack" poster  :)

Oh and if you want to view the full poster (I had to shrink it considerably so it didn't take up too much room on this page), click here:  http://www.alphalink.com.au/~devine/ZappPosterLarge.JPG

Sweet poster!  I hope that's going to be a general release item like the Space Pilot poster.  I was wondering if they would put that one out since it was already done in the 2001 or 2002 calender (can't remember which).  I'll pick that one up if it becomes available.

That Love's Labours Lost poster originally showed up as the centerfold of the 2001 calendar. More recently (like this year) it has been on sale at the Bongo Comics booth at the San Diego Comic Con and as far as I know that has been the only place that you could get it. I am not aware of it being sold anywhere else at this time.
I seem to vaguely remember them selling it at last year's (2002) show as well but I could be hallucinating on that one.

I think they originally sold for 15.00 without signature and 25.00 with Groening's signature on them. That is just one of the things Bongo and Matt does to keep the show interesting. He knows many people are looking for an autographed item from him so many times besides his usual signing (of which there is usually just the one) he will sign a bunch of stuff in the Bongo booth periodically over the weekend and then sell them. You have to be quick about it though as they usually go pretty fast especially when it comes the Simpsons.
I agree it is a pretty sweet poster.

Bendo, the seller said Matt did sign it at the San Diego Comic Con. Not sure which year, though.
Thanks for all the replies.

So this is not yet part of the official series available in most UK record shops? I have both of the official posters, the Space Pilot one, and Benders "Bite My Shiny Metal Ass" one. Anybody know if anymore are planned for release?

I'd love to see this poster released in the UK. I'd love to have THREE Futurama posters on my bedroom wall!

I've actually got 4. The two official ones I already mentioned and the cool ones that came free with the UK Futurama comics. The first one is basically the image from front cover of issue one, the second is 'The Bendernator' cover.

My guess is that it won't be released anywhere but you never know. As far as other stuff being released it sure seems as though there are a bunch of those Leela posters popping up. I don't know if they are a recent release or maybe just a warehouse find but if you come across one I would suggest picking one up as they are really cool as well.
I wouldn't mind seeing something done with the cover of the Futurama-orama TPB as that is a fun image.
I have too many Futurama posters to mention - some are on the wall and some are in storage.

Which Leela poster do you mean Bendo? Or are you just talking about the one at the top of this page?

Hey AJ, is that poster the same size as the other two Futurama posters? I ask since that shot makes it look really tall, not at all like the proportions of the other two.

I assume he's talking about the promo posters for Futurama.  There were three, one with Fry, one of Bender, and one of Leela.  I have seen the Leela one more frequently lately, even at a few online shops.

Kazza, the dimensions are the same as the calendar poster which would make it around 15x30 inches if that.
Bankrupt, those are indeed the posters I am talking about. I recieved an email from a distributor awhile ago saying they 'recieved' a large shipment of the Leela posters and have been selling them online since then.

Ah.....I assumed that the poster would be a blown up version of the calendar poster, not just a copy without a fold in the middle.

Still, I'd want one!

Hey Kazzadrane, no, this poster is considerably smaller than the Space Pilot 3000 poster.

I think its dimensions are slightly less than Bendo said, but yes the poster is quite long and nothing like the "traditional" rectangular movie poster shape.
