This item popped up in the Cartoon Network shop.

I haven't seen these sold individually before.

Those were just released about a week ago. They are the last in the set of images from the 2001 Futurama calendar. They are all great pieces. I have the first two sets which comprise 9 images and intend to pick these up early January. You can get them individually but the price for them jumps from 180.00 for the set to 75.00 individually. Or at least that is how most of the stores work.
Oh, and there are only 8 artist proofs not 80.

As nice as they are, I doubt I'll be getting any of those pieces. I've already got the 'Ho-Ho-Holliday of Horror' giclee, and that rules! But I just don't have enough space for any more unfortunately. But I do have all of the Futurama Calendars, so I can at least look at all the images that way  :)

Nice! But I can't see spending that kinda dough, when a calender is a lot cheaper.

(I think frugal - like Zoidberg - out of necessity)

This has probably been asked before, but what kind of stock are the giclees printed on?  Does it seem like it would last a while?  How do these differ from a poster print?

It is a rag type stock if that makes any sense. It has a definite texture on the paper itself and I also believe it is archival type so the prints should stay rich and vibrant over many, many years.

They're also sprayed with an invisible layer of protective stuff. It means it won't fade, yellow, or crack from the sun, and should last pretty much forever!

Just found one on ebay, it's going pretty cheap too. It's not one of my faves, plus I already have the Holliday of Horror one. Just thought I'd let people here know, as it's very rare... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=8616&item=6105032637&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

For those interested here is a small update on all the giclee sets. The You're Not Paid to Think giclee is sold out (big surprise), the first two sets of giclees based on the 2001 calendar is sold out (you can still get the last set shown above), the Space Pilot 3000 one is just about sold out (maybe 2 left) and some of the others are getting pretty low in numbers.
I just wanted to pass that on to folks in case there were some people out there trying to decide to purchase one or not.

PS, that Tales of Interest one is easily one of my favorites.

If it was the Embarassing Tales giclee, then I'd snap it up in a shot, I love that one!...
