Lum Cameo!

I just picked up Futurama-o-rama, and who do I see walking down the streets of NNY, but the star Takahashi Rumiko's first manga series (Ten's with her also).  Sweet.  I dunno about the TV series, but someone involved in the Futurama comic series is an anime fan.

Hey, I saw that too!  Yay for Lum-chan, the 80's icon from Japan with status of most-popular-cat-girl-alien...thing!

Well, since Lum *is* an alien, it makes sense for someone who looks like her to show up.  But I didn't think Lum was Takahashi's very first manga, just the first one to get popular. 

Also, is there a thread in the "Weird Scenes" board for this kind of sighting?  I dunno if Lum by herself can support an entire topic....

Don't feel bad, Pitt.  That was over a year ago, before you were here.  I didn't expect you to have known.  I only remembered because I'm the one who posted it.  I think it's cool that you noticed Lum too.

Anyway, if the old anime pic thread gets resurrected as a result, then my work here is done.
