The term for what you are looking for is a Transcript, and good luck finding one. The wonderful about the internet is, if you want something but you can't find it, you can always put in a little bit of effort and make it yourself to share with the world.

Well, I for one would like to have the transcripts to the 1st season episodes. My native language is not English, and sometimes I find them difficult to understand. I have all the DVDs, and season 2 and 3 include subtitles for the commentary tracks. But season 1 DVDs don't.

Aren't the commentaries subtitled? They are on my sets.
And why would you need a transcript of the commentaries? If you want them because you don't have the sets you wouldn't be able to enjoy them cause you would have read the damn things and couldn't watch the show at the same time.
My suggestion is.........get the sets, they are not that expansive and DVD players are dirt cheap these days.

As I said, season 1 episodes do not have subtitled commentaries, at least in the DVDs I own (region 2, with German and Spanish voiceovers). Season 2 and season 3 DVDs *have* subtitled commentaries, but season 1 does not. Or, if it does, I have been utterly unable to find them (and, believe me, I have tried).

So, although I *already* have all the sets, I still would appreciate transcripts of the season 1 commentaries (easier for me to understand written English than spoken English, and I still don't get certain parts of the commentaries in season 1). I would then read the transcripts, and would be able to watch the episode with commentaries with a much better knowledge of what they are saying  :)

But I guess that nobody has made those transcripts, so it will remain an unattainable dream, or something like that...  :)

Maybe Dave over at The Neutral Planet will do it at one point, but I doubt it.

Sorry, as far as I know there aren't any transcripts of the audio commentaries on the Internet.

I have done transcripts of When Aliens Attack, Mars University and Fry and the Slurm Factory, (the rest of season 1 in progress) but they are not uploaded because any website with them on would be highly likely to get a nasty warning letter, however if there is anyone willing to take that risk, my email is  sil_gathien@hotmail.com

It's not that impressive. I tried to find transcripts for Home Movies once and couldn't.  :hmpf:

I have seen the transcript for "I second that emotion" somewhere on the web.  Apparently the eurpean DVDs S-2 onwards have subtitles for the commentaries, and these can be exported into a text file if you have the right equipment.  Do a search for it, I must have been led there from one of the main Futurama sites.

Yeah, but the trouble with the subtitles is that half the time they seem to bear absolutely no relation to what is happening on the commentary, and you also only get one line for what is going on; if people are talking simultaneously, they just subtitle the loudest one and ignore the rest.
