Hmmm. Yeah, tomorrow is okay, I guess... if you can't manage to get it TODAY, that is!  Heehee.  My DVD arrived from Amazon this afternoon (about 7 hours ago), and I would spend the night watching it, if only I didn't have a Psych test tomorrow... blast that psych test.  I did pop the first one into my DVD-ROM, though, and read the easter egg captions. That's all I had time for, though.  So, I have it early, but I can't watch it until everyone else can. How very unfair.

Edit: I'm waaaaaaay past explod- [explodes, then sucks back together again] See?

I'm going to hop on a bus and go to best buy tomorrow during school.  Technically its not ditching, as people can more or less come and go as they please as long as they don't miss classes and such, and tomorrow there aren't any classes.

Man, I can't wait to pop it in and get started on those commentaries/features (I watch those first with Futurama sets, since I've already seen the episodes).

Ah hell, why not? (Explodes)

I'll probably have a chance to get it by 4 o'clock tomorrow, and I can hardly wait! I'm especially looking forward to the table read for "A Tale of Two Santas" and the commentaries on "Parasites Lost", "Time Keeps on Slippin'" and "The Luck of the Fryrish".

Don't worry about not having a license. I turn 17 next month and I still haven't taken Driver's Ed.

Bah, I turn 19 next month, and I still have no license.  My little brother has to drive me around.  Uhhh... more on topic: I love Amazon.ca!  My whole family watched Parisites Lost today. A fun time was had by all. I can't wait to get cracking at those commentaries. (oh, the video seems to be perfectly fine on my DVD player, it may just be the IGN guys, I guess)

I may never drive actually.  I hope to try some crazy experiment where I avoid ever driving a car in my life, and just use other methods.  But, to get back on topic, uh....

Good to know the video is good.  None of those "combing errors" or anything?

Well, I have only seen one episode so far, but it looked perfect to me (and I usually notice those errors on the Season1 set on my computer). If I wasn't lazy, I would check it out on more episodes on my computer, but I should be studying for a test (in theory, anyhow), and most people will have it tomorrow, anyhow.

EDIT: I've seen a few more on my computer, and it all looks fine to me.

Well, I saw some of those errors on an episode last night.
had them in a few places, but it wasn't as bad as other sets have been. I likey would not have noticed them had I not been keeping an eye out for them.  On the upside, the easter eggs are really, really funny, and most deleted scenes are top-notch. On the downside, I'm going to fail Psych. The commentaries have been hit and miss so far, but I must say, I like Maurice LaMarche's normal voice. It just sounds cool.

AARRRGGHH!!!
my dvd's came today, but my dad took them before i got home from school and won't let me have them until i finish my homeowrk (which he doesn't believe i have none of) and do some reading.
the same thing hapened for my brother's Family Guy season 3 dvds, but it's hard to get excited about that
personally, i don't like reading. it takes too long, and it's boring. and there's no futurama books. i rarely read all of a book, even books that are required for school. i only read enough that i can do the assignment. the way i see it, my language arts teacher knows if i'm reading enough, not my parents. (even if my current language arts teacher is one of the most incompetent teachers i've had in a long time)

anyways, I'm angry! I can't watch more futurama until tonight! that's like 4 hours away! Argh!

@zoidbergrocks: Yes, Fry, Bender and Leela's space helmets are see-through, and so Fry, Bender and Leela are on the inside box. Leela is holding a photo of herself with two eyes, Fry is having Zoidberg examine his hurting lead pipe, and Bender is making beer inside himself.

I've watched 3 episodes with commentary, as I always do with Futurama, since I've seen every episode at nausea. It's pretty good, even better was the David Cohen Xmas greeting. Good stuff.

Plain old fashioned bullshit my friend. I did it with summer reading, and since nobody read the books, my teacher gave everybody an extra 20 points on it.

Family Guy rocks. It's too bad you hate it.

I have the little mini-poster thing I got with the first season set hanging on my bedroom door. I like it.

If it's any consolation, I'm having to go through the same thing right now. It honestly feels like I could explode sitting over this stupid homework all sprung on me at the last minute by my English teacher, not being able to watch even a single episode until it's all done.

Try knowing that you only have basic cable at your house and can only watch Futurama on TV on Wednesdays and alternating Thursdays when you're at your dad's house. Otherwise, I have to settle for DVDs and downloaded episodes.

The in-character audio intros for each episode are hysterical.  The one for "Godfellas" in particular was great.

Second that... Bender is da bomb!!!   :laff:

Zeep -- you don't like reading? Too bad...
If not for Matt Groening reading classic books (like those sci-fi greats Asimov, Heinlein, etc.), there might not be a Futurama.
