Ah was wondering how long those Blobs would last before they went bad. So what was actually inside him - water or some gel? Was he salvageable after his leak? I'd be curious to see what he looks like now.

Hi,

I'm working on a list of my Futurama merchandise and I'm wondering if there was a "Heavyweight Bender" with normal coloring (not shiny version and not SUPER heavyweight) in an individual box (Bender only).

Does anybody know?

Additionally, is there a SDCC glow-in-the-dark Bender bobble head? (I have the Elmstreet exclusive version, but not SDCC)

I just photographed my whole collection (except for comics). Anybody interested in a collage?

Yes we all our interested in a collage! :D

This one claims it's an SDCC exclusive but I can't see what the stickers say on this opera mini browser.

Yeah, that's the coin bank. I'm looking for the smaller ones with shaking heads.
I'll deliver my pics soon. ;-)

Good news everyone!!

Finally I finished digging through my boxes with Futurama merchandise, photographing everything and making a list of it.

Here is the result of my collection so far:

Copyright 2012

Here the things of my collection I didn't photograph:
- Futurama video game for PS2
- all comic issues (German and US) including #1 variant, "Delivery Boy Man", small SDCC DVD promo comic, the collections (Futurama-o-rama,...)
- the regular DVD boxes (one for each season + movie box). The three boxes on the pictures are the seasons 1-3 in VHS!! (VHS died before the release of season 4)
- some autographs
- posters
- all 23 magnets (they are still in the mail package, I was too lazy to take a picture of all of them)

Yes, I know! I'm crazy!!!
All of my items are still in its original package and I tried to get all variants too. Additionally, I've got some promo items that I included in the picture like some TV station slides, the FOX Futurama base cap or my "holy grail", the FOX Futurama promotional Bender statue including Robot Oil and Bachelor Bar.
The Kidrobot case was opened and contains 16 opened boxes. All variants are included. I have all calendars in two languages where available (German and US), therefore you see two of each on the picture.

And I know, there are still some peaces missing. The following items are on my wish list:
- Destructor figure
- Robot Devil plush
- not yet released things

Feel free to ask any questions.  ;)

A modest collection... but I've got more figures on the way.. and quite a bit of stuff I haven't snapped a shot of... such as; many of the Futurama comics I have are not pictured.

Yeah it's not rare for the once $20.00 Futurama lunch box to go for upwards of $80.00.

Geeezzz; with that in mind I'll wait for.. and see.. if another tin tote ever gets made.

But if I ever see it for $50.00 dollars.... I'd buy it.

Anyway I have a brand new Toynami Hermes figure heading my way... as slowly my collection grows.  :D

I never realized the lunch box became so expensive! I still remember the times when no one bid on it on eBay for $19.99. Glad I bought it a long time ago. Maybe I should bring my microwave to the sun and hope for a super nova to travel back in time and buy more of it. ;)

Pick me up one too if you do that! :D

Speaking of the bay, a Moore Bender in his Chef outfit is coming my way for $20.49 with FREE shipping! I lucked out with myself being the only sniper at the end and the auction ending late at night last weekend that no one upbid me. I am still shocked I got such an incredible deal. And there were two at bid at the same time, they just must not have noticed this one, because the same figure went for almost $40 a day later!

That might have been the same one I saw it was £9.99 I nearly bid on it because someone had one bid but decided I already had one so I'd let someone else have that one so they can appreciate it

Hahaha. Thank you, then! (I bid after the initial bid). My max was more than double what I paid! So I am glad you didn't upbid me heheh.

The only other figure I am really want is a metal Kif. I was fooling around a few months ago not paying attention and missed out on one and haven't seen it since. I think it was a metal Kif. Unless I am mistaken? Part of that Rocket line.

There is no metal Kif. The only Kif figures I know are the bendy ones (Rocket USA) in normal and Glow-in-the-Dark variant, but these are plastic figures. And then there is the Toynami figure. But that's is I think...

Hmmm. Maybe I got confused with the Kif metal clicker then. I should have kept watching it so I would know for sure...my mind does occasionally like to make up stuff, though.

Sorry dude I totally forgot to reply no unfortunately blob never made it through the procedure I had to cut him open to save bender and without the liquid inside him he jus looks like a rubbery mess, I suppose of u were clever enough u could make a small incision remove the bender then fill blob with something like stuffing or play Doh (kinda wish I'd thought of that before I binned him) I would have kept him whole but like I said he was randomly leaking and I could work out where from maybe the sun from my window had something to do with it, who knows

I think it was water inside personally if I was the manufacter I would have used something like silicone or something with more stability but can still be squished

Thanks. Ya, I always worried that he'd have a limited shelf life. I don't dare to think of new figures anymore, but if Toynami's line gets back on track, I'd love a deluxe H. G. Blob. I'd probably just rather see him in some hardish plastic, rather than something soft and gooey, let alone water filled.

Fantastic collection, Nibbler! Are you missing anything, or is that literally everything? Looks like you just need the Wooden Bender Kidrobot and Destructor. But like you said, pre-order:p

Nice to see someone else with the launch kit. Do you have the full box?

I bought a figure of B.O.B from monsters vs aliens and he was made of a rubbery plastic which was fantastic, HG Blob should be made the same way

P.s I now have 13 benders if u include his head and the Nixon one

Thanks. The Wooden Bender ist already on its way. ;) I'm still waiting for Desctructor but I doubt that the online shops will sell the SDCC version. I will see...
I tried to get all official merchandise except for some things like the Space Pilot 3000 giclee (officially the first merchandising item ever, but with $250 in the year 2000 too expensive for a better poster), clothes, posters, foreign comic books and DVDs and some other things.
I don't have the original launch kit box, only the figure. I think you are the only person on this planet who owns the complete box. And I don't have the small launch kit. But these things are almost impossible to get, even through ebay. I have seen the launch kit figure only three or four times on ebay during the last 12 years.
So for the rest, I think I'm on a good way. ;)

I think your collection has inspired me to finish mine off, haha.

I'm missing the Bender mask, sheet music, Nibbler/Zoidberg/Bender plushies, magnets, Brain Slug, H.G Blob Professor and Fry versions, tin signs and some calendars.

Off to eBay, unless you're having a yard sale :p

When did you begin collecting? I was 12 when Futurama aired, and I live in Australia, so pretty much everything I'm missing is from the 1999-2002 Darkhorse era. Too young and not enough eBay back then :p

I started collecting in 1999 or 2000, just when the series aired. But the first year or so there was no merchandise. Everyone waited for the first Bender wind-up toy that was announced. I'm now 36, so I was already old enough to start collecting with my own money. ;)
But living outside the US makes collecting more difficult. The shipping costs are much higher and a lot of people don't want to sell internationally. Therefore I'm still waiting for an affordable Robot Devil plush toy.

I only started collecting when I saw the Toynami Fry with Build a Bot part come out in a local Hot Topic a few years back (2008 perhaps? when was that?). Hard to believe I have amassed all this stuff since then... :O_o:
