I've recently got the American editions of comics #5 and 6... nine bucks each. Ouch.

Also, #4 and #10 Australian. Woo, only missing 4 issues! Now, if only I had a cheque account...

All ya need is to make a money order at your local post office dude. And photocopy the form in issue #10 Australian for back issues.

I mean i started collecting at issue #8 and i just sent the order in for #1-7 coz i really wanted to start collecting em. Its a bit extra for postage and handling but i mean if you love Futurama (which im guessing you do like me coz ur on this forum) its worth it.  :)

Not to brag, but I've got an original, signed script of the special lines of random dialogue written (and recorded) exclusively for the season 4 DVD menus. Of course, that's probably not worth anything to anyone who's not a fan of the show (or even then ... you guys tell me - I think it's kinda cool).

While we are bragging  :p :

That's a signed "record" script of 1ACV01 from mid  1998, when I.C. Wiener was still called W. Disney and Fry had a sister.

Got two other signed scripts (Xmas Story and Why of Fry, both table read versions) and a dedicated copy of the Daily Variety with the big Futurama "for your consideration" cover.

Other than that, 2 posters, a slurm can, comics and DVDs.

I just found a random copy of Futurama O Rama at a Barnes and Noble near Roanoke. I have never seen one in stores before.

Of course I bought it, great stuff.

Well, to be honest, I do have a handmade Futurama t-shirt that my sister got me as a present, and I consider getting some DVDs but I'm quite broke at the moment...

Mmm.. I really want the collect-o-pack-er-thingy. Very sweet. But I would most certainly be torn between keeping them packaged and taking them out for better display... and playing (blush).

dvdashot, what I did was open the box very carefully, and took the figures out. I've got the figures ready for display, and the box is in mint condition.   :)

However, the figure stands are held to the box by glued-on plastic, and I had to cut the plastic carefully with a knife so I wouldn't damage the box. Grr.

I have in my living room a 4 foot tall fiber glass Bender.  These giant Bender's where to be used as a promotional display for Tower records. That was the story I was told, because I never saw one in public.  I think there were around 150 made, and the folks over at Curiosity Company asked if anyone over at Rough Draft wanted to order them.

I think around 8 or 9 where ordered at the studio, including me, but I have never seen anything mentioned about them on the internet.  I will try and get a photo posted of it.  If anybody can help with posting the photo e-mail me.

So if you think your collection is complete, sorry, this beauty is out there haunting you.    :p

So it was used in a Tower records.  I use to go to a couple of different Tower records here in L.A and I never saw one of them at the stores I went to.
The Giant Bender did give me a funny idea for a web site.  It would be a site devoted to where the Bender had been.
Something like what people do with garden knomes.
Photogaraph the Giant Bender in front of famous places and then post them on the site.  I know it would be a complete waste of time, but the thought struck me.

Rough Roman you are my hero. I have been searching for that Bender for a couple of years now. I was real close to purchasing one from Tower and was saving up the money to do so when they put on sale all of their remaining stock to the public and I missed out. I saw one at Comic Con over the weekend and he wanted $1,500 for it. Needless to say I didn't purchase it.
If you or any of your cohorts at Rough Draft are interested in selling yours please contact me! I am really serious about trying to get one of these.

Cute? No, that's what they want you to think.

Look what we have here. Somebody has clearly mutilated two perfectly good futurama figures by pulling off thier heads and attatching them to two random wedding figures!
Actually now that I think about it, that was a recuring theme in the show......I guess more thought went into this than I originaly thought.

Futurama figures created the futurama way.

I'm rambling......It's late and I have a busy day tommorow. Why am I talking about pointless things like this instead of going to sleep?

Yup. You can tell that they just painted the clothes different colors. The only huge difference is that they've added a skirt on Leela, making her tank top look like a wedding dress.

If I had a Bender, and a camera to take the pictures with, I would make one.

I'd even drive up to Bendersville just to take a picture of Bender with the 'Welcome to Bendersville' sign.

HaHa! I ran into you kimncris! We took a picture of you. Great costume by the way. I think the photos that I got of you did not turn out good and so I was not able to post them on my website in the SDCC wrap up. Shortly after seeing you we stopped by the Bongo booth and let them know you were walking around the exhibit hall. Did you get a chance to stop by there?

Funny you should mention Bongo, we must have been right behind you, because we did end up there eventually.  It was pretty slow going in that costume.

Thought I'd update my line-up:

-Seasons 1-4 on DVD
-Futurama: The Game on PS2
-2003 and 2004 calendar
-Futurama-O-Rama
-Space Pilot 3K poster
-Bite My Shiny Metal Ass poster
-Bendy Leela figure
-Bendy Bender figure
-Slurm can with cards
-Full set of Series 1 I-Men figures

The I-Men just arrived in the post yesterday, and they are really cool!

-Volumes 1-3, will have vol. 4 by about 10:00 am Tuesday (when the store I work at opens)
-Futurama-O-Rama
-Die-cast figures - Leela, Professor, Zoidberg, Amy (can't remember the series)
-PYHOMS Popup People
- SP3K poster
-Sign magnet set (the small die cut set of 9)
-PS2 game
-Slurm can w/playing cards
I think that's everything ... but I feel like something's missing.

After some other monetary priorities are covered, I'll be looking at the Bender "Bite my shiny metal ass" poster, the Leela promo poster, the I-men, and more magnets.

I'm looking for the tin signs, but as you all prolly know, most of 'em are hard to find.  Anyone got a good source (other than eBay)?  I'm also looking for the Fry and Bender promo posters (similar to the Leela one, where it says it's on Tuesdays on Fox).  Any other big ticket items I'm missing here that I should consider buying?

First of all, forgive me for the double post, but *bump*.

I have this nifty subway banner advertising Futurama on Adult Swim:

Should I put it above my SP3K poster?

There will be about a half inch between the two if I put the banner right up against the ceiling - visible as the slightly darker area at the top of the photo.

Or by my door, in a vertical orientation?

The edges would be approx. one foot above the thermostat and one foot below the light switch, unless it's moved up or down.
