To my knowledge nothing has been mentioned yet regarding a new tradepaperback but my best guess would say we might here something by the end of the year on when the next one will be coming out. The first one came out after 8 or 9 issues of the comics I think and we will be around issue 16 by the end of the year so it would seem that we should start hearing something by then.
Glad you liked the comics but make sure to send Bongo Comics and email and let them know that! They have been having a deficiency in letter writing lately so make sure you let them know they are appreciated and you like the title. Otherwise it will be lights out on the comics as well as the TV show.

I'm pretty sure there will be another one, but it could be a while.

I am wondering if there will be some news at this years Comic Con. I will be sure and pass on any if there is any talk of it. That is if somebody here doesn't beat me too it. Which they probably will.  ;)

Do the comics repeat stories from the episodes?

Reverend, no they do not but they do use references from the show. The Crossover comic that was written by Ian Boothby relied heavily on stuff from the show as its setup to get both the Simpsons and Futurama universes together.
Patric Verrone has done one issue of the comics (11) and from what I have heard it was an unused idea from the show. He is scheduled to be the writer for issue 14 coming out later this month (or perhpas early next) and I would bet it is another unused idea from the show. He is also scheduled to appear as part of the Bongo Comics panel in SD so my guess is that he will become a regular contributor to the series so we can expect to see more show ideas and development of characters from show themes. It is an exciting time to be on board with Futurama Comics!!   :D

I really wish they'd hurry up with the second book, and release a Complete Guide book while they're at it  :)

*waits patiently hoping for news nearer the end of the year*

I also can't wait for the next book, having never read #8 "Planet X-Press Men" or #9 "Freaky Fry Day", and both seem intriguing (though I doubt #9 would be in there).

And Otis, [shamelessplug]if you want a Complete Guide, check out TFP.[/shamelessplug]
