I'd rather buy from Amazon, if only because I don't have to take £30 to school with me, and I could lose the money or something :P

I canceled my online Amazon order weeks ago because I realised how frustrating waiting is. I'm getting mine from WhSmith for £29.99 first thing Monday morning. This way I know i'll have it ASAP (unless I get hit by a bus on the way there.........OH my god i'd be killed!".
Maybe it's a bit late by now, but i'd advise anyone in the UK to do the same (by that I mean buy the DVDs.....not get hit by a bus).

That's what I'll be doing too. It means I have total piece of mind, because I know I'll get them as soon as they come out. And less than 24 hours to go!  :D

I ordered mine of Play.com and got them yesterday. They really are the best. The only downside I've come across so far is DiMaggio isn't in many of the commentaries. And there's NO Katey Sagal again! It would have been nice to have her commenting on "Leela's Homeworld" or "The Sting". Ah well!
But seriously I'm just picking. There at least on a par with season 3 in terms of what you get. Maybe even slightly better. And thats no bad thing!

Well over here in the UK it's past midnight, so release day has already started for us. I've got a sound design and CGI class back to back in the morning (I do Special FX at Uni) so I guess I won't be picking it up until around mid day. I can't skip my lessons either becasue i'm giving a presentation. I'm also really busy all week, so I won't get much time to actually watch my DVDs. Man I wish I was an unemployed Uni dropout. Ah, man can dream though, a man can dream.

Now I really should get some sleep.

Oh and Arachnid...Ah Ha Ha Ha Ha, I mock your situation(Not really).

I'm an unemployed Uni. graduate.  Is that close enough?

All I have to do is wake up before 9am and sit by my letterbox.  :)

I'm awaiting for my shipping notice from amazon.uk.  I was hoping to get them before the Thanksgiving weekend so I have a couple of days off, but I don't think they'll get here that quick.  Can't wait, can't wait!

Well, the post should be arriving in about half an hour, just before I go to school. Am going to wait as long as possible without missing my bus so I can show it to my friend who also likes the show (but not enough to buy the boxsets :P), he'll be so jealous!

Also, to prepare for this monumental event, I sang my way through the whole of "Leela: Orphan Of The Stars" 3 times in the shower! (Mum wondered why I was singing about 'Godzilla'  :D)

Hooray! Mine just arrived (for some reason, Amazon decided to send it via Parcelforce and not Royal Mail :rolleyes :).

First brilliant impression: Thank GOD they changed the clips on the DVDs! I'm worried about my S3 Disc 2 because of the poor clips, to the point where I've taken to putting it in a plastic slip rather than clipping it in. The rest of the package is very nice, as well.  :D

CK, what's up with your S3 disc?  I keep getting problems where the clip seems to catch between the DVD's layers.

Loads of percels for me today, with Futurama S4 arriving at the same time as Cheers S1 and Frasier S1.  Consequently I've only watched KGKUAN with commentary so far.

But the packaging's fantastic!  Clobberella's on the cover of Disc 1!   And the clips are much better than the second or third seasons'.  Hopefully FOX will use these clips for their future releases.

It's there, and in the DVD info:

Title Region Code: 2,4.

Finished watching the first three eps with commentary, and the Disc 1 deleted scenes (most of which, especially the KGKUAN ones, deserved to be left in, IMHO).

@Fred: Basically, the centre of the disc flexes, and what looks like oil in the plastic moves around. Maybe I'll get a picture of it sometime.

It's probably not that problematic, but I'd rather not take any chances (especially since S3D2 has some of my favourites on it).

Are you sure it's not the DVD glue?  I can see glue near the centre of a lot of my Futurama and M*A*S*H (both FOX) discs.

woo hoo i bought me it.
and watched random commentaries and episodes,
i deliberatley missed TDHAIP when it first aired because i knew i'd enjoy it more on my own, and it was great.

the first few commentaries i watched in order then played other ones at random there very good as always

this dvd further proves my theory that money CAN buy happiness

You fellas in the UK are lucky! My order shipped on Saturday but it probably won't arrive here in the states until next week. *Sigh* - Looks like I won't be enjoying a Futurama marathon over Thanksgiving break. It's just as well since I'm going out of town. I've waited this long, so another week won't kill me  :)

I went out and got my Futurama Season 4 DVD's today!  :D Wow they rule so much!  Well the packaging is glow in the dark, but it's not cheap and crappy at all, it's even slightly embossed! I always loved the packaging, but in real life it's even better, definately the best IMO!

I've watched 7 eps so far, including the entire Disc 1. And I've tried out all the discs to see the animated menus. And wow, they really outdid themselves here! They're awesome to the max, and I like the Professors invention room menu's the most. Even the scene selection menu's rule, being on transport tubes with various characters wizzing through. The naked professor one is hillarious!  :laff: As for the montage on the cases, that rules too, but I don't think it's one of the best. But thank god, as people above have mentioned, they've used clips that actually work, with ease!  ;)

The picture and sound quality is amazing, as expected, and I've watched all the deleted scenes. Wow there's some very interesting scenes, especially from 'The Sting'. Most cloolsome indeed
